Tieši tādēļ Saeimas Cilvēktiesību un sabiedrisko lietu komisija šā gada 11.maijā ar balsu vairākumu jau ir atbalstījusi citu likumprojektu – “Par Otrā pasaules kara dalībnieku statusu”. Nākamajā ceturtdienā Saeimas sēdē tas likumprojekts ar lūgumu izskatīt pirmajā lasījumā tiks nodots mūsu lemšanai. Un tāpēc nav saprotams, kādēļ atsevišķi frakcijas SASKAŅA deputāti izstrādājuši šodien izskatāmo alternatīvo tās pašas tematikas likumprojektu un lūdz to nodot tai pašai komisijai – Cilvēktiesību un sabiedrisko lietu komisijai. Katram deputātam taču būs iespēja sniegt savus priekšlikumus komisijā jau akceptētajam likumprojektam. Latvijas Republika nebija Otrā pasaules kara dalībvalsts. Cilvēktiesību un sabiedrisko lietu komisija jau akceptētajā likumprojektā “Par Otrā pasaules kara dalībnieku statusu” ir definējusi, ka sociālās garantijas pienāktos Latvijas Republikas pilsoņiem, tātad pilsoņiem, kurus, pārkāpjot Hāgas 1907.gada 18.oktobra V un 1907.gada 18.oktobra XIII konvenciju par neitrālo valstu tiesībām un pienākumiem karā, gan PSRS, gan nacistiskā Vācija pretlikumīgi iesaistīja karadarbībā. Savukārt alternatīvajā, tas ir, šodien izskatāmajā, likumprojektā ir konceptuāla nepilnība: likumprojekts paredz, ka sociālās garantijas būtu jānodrošina katram Latvijas nepilsonim – bijušajam Otrā pasaules kara dalībniekam, tātad gan sarkanarmietim, gan, piemēram, nacistiskās Vācijas formējumos karojušam vlasovietim – cilvēkiem, kuri līdz Latvijas okupācijai nebija saistīti ar mūsu valsti. Latvijas Republikas okupācijas fakts Otrā pasaules kara laikā un pēc tā juridiski ir neapšaubāms. Saeima ir pieņēmusi arī Deklarāciju par Latvijas okupāciju. Ja atbalstītu šo iesniegto likumprojektu, Latvija uzņemtos sociālo atbildību arī par tiem karavīriem nepilsoņiem, kuri veicinājuši Latvijas otrreizējo okupāciju kara laikā un pēc kara šo okupāciju brīvprātīgi nodrošinājuši (piemēram, PSRS Baltijas kara apgabala virsnieki vai represīvo iestāžu darbinieki). Līdz ar to netieši tiktu apšaubīts okupācijas fakts. Aicinu neatbalstīt šī likumprojekta nodošanu komisijai.".
