Šodien VIENOTĪBA apsveica to, ka Saeima ir atbalstījusi paziņojumu par Ukrainas parlamenta deputāti un Gaisa spēku piloti Nadiju Savčenko. Šajā paziņojumā Saeima nosodīja Nadijas Savčenko notiesāšanu, kas balstīta uz safabricētām un politiski motivētām apsūdzībām, uzsverot, ka Krievijas Federācija, veicot Savčenko nolaupīšanu un nelikumīgu pārvietošanu pāri starptautiski atzītām Ukrainas robežām, kā arī īstenojot ilgstošu prettiesisku aizturēšanu, ir pārkāpusi starptautiskās saistības. Mēs paužam bažas par Nadijas Savčenko kritisko veselības stāvokli un aicinām Krieviju saskaņā ar tās starptautiskajām saistībām un Minskas vienošanos, kas paredz visu politisko ķīlnieku un nelegāli apcietināto personu atbrīvošanu, kā arī balstoties uz humāniem apsvērumiem, nekavējoties atbrīvot Nadiju Savčenko. Mēs aicinām atbrīvot arī citus Krievijas Federācijā prettiesiski aizturētos Ukrainas pilsoņus. Mēs rosinām Krievijas Federāciju kā ANO Drošības padomes pastāvīgo locekli rūpēties par ANO Statūtos nostiprināto principu un cilvēktiesību ievērošanu savā valstī. Un beidzot. Mēs mudinām starptautisko sabiedrību nosodīt Nadijas Savčenko notiesāšanu un aicināt Krievijas Federāciju ievērot tās starptautiskās saistības, nekavējoties atbrīvot Nadiju Savčenko un citus prettiesiski aizturētus Ukrainas pilsoņus. Šeit ir arī jāpiemin, ka Lietuvas, Igaunijas un Polijas parlamenti ir pieņēmuši līdzīgas rezolūcijas par Nadiju Savčenko un arī Eiropas Parlaments gatavo savu paziņojumu, kurā tiek apspriestas sankcijas pret tām Krievijas Federācijas amatpersonām, kuras ir atbildīgas par Savčenko nolaupīšanu un pārvietošanu. Ir arī jāpiemin, ka Nadija Savčenko ir ne tikai Ukrainas parlamenta deputāte, bet ir arī iecelta par Ukrainas delegācijas pārstāvi Eiropas Padomes Parlamentārajā Asamblejā. Ar šo paziņojumu Latvija sniedz morālu atbalstu Ukrainai un vēlreiz atgādina Eiropai un pasaulei par Krievijas Federācijas agresiju Ukrainā un tās sekām. Paldies.".
