Tāpēc slimnīcas pirmos četrus mēnešus strādā iepriekšējā gada finansējuma ietvaros, un tagad ir piešķirts papildu finansējums. Un konkrēti, ja mēs... Sabiedrība veido viedokli par rindām Latvijas Onkoloģijas centrā. Šim centram es esmu atradis iespēju piešķirt papildu nedaudz vairāk par 400 tūkstošiem tieši rindu mazināšanai tiem izmeklējumiem, kas ir saistīti ar onkoloģijas pacientiem, proti, vizuālās diagnostikas izmeklējumiem. Tātad situācija būs daudz labāka: rindas tiks atvērtas 21.martā laika posmam līdz gada beigām, un valsts finansējums ir būtiski pieaudzis. Zināmā mērā tā bija slimnīcas... slimnīca varēja atvērt rindu iepriekš, jo bija zināms, ka būs vairāk naudas, un varēja atvērt rindu uz visu gadu. Zināmā mērā viņi to izdarīja, lai parādītu... lai ar sabiedrības neapmierinātību izdarītu spiedienu ne tikai uz Veselības ministriju, bet uz visu valdību un visiem Saeimas deputātiem. Jo situācija ir katastrofāla: mēs finansējam veselības aprūpi vissliktāk Eiropas Savienībā. Tas bija vēstījums mums visiem. Bet situācija ir labāka! Slimnīcas un arī Nacionālais veselības dienests to zina, un tās rindas ir onkoloģijas pacientu dēļ. Situācija būs daudz labāka nekā iepriekšējā gadā.".
