Detalizēti iepazīstoties ar ziņojumu, jāsecina, ka valstī ir vairākas problēmas, par kuru risināšanu jau gadiem ilgi runā vienas atbildīgās valsts institūcijas, taču tikpat ietiepīgi gadiem ilgi citas valsts institūcijas tās nerisina. Šī gada ziņojumā tiesībsargs ir atkārtoti aktualizējis tādu problēmu kā vardarbība skolā un ģimenē. Tā ir bijusi ceturtā aktuālākā tēma iedzīvotāju iesniegumos. Tiesībsargs 2015.gada 14.septembrī uzsāka visaptverošu pētījumu par to, kāda ir sabiedrības izpratne par vardarbību pret bērniem, un par to, kāda ir attiecīgā situācija Latvijā, un rezultātus prezentēja tiesībsarga ikgadējā konferencē 2015.gada 11.decembrī. Pētījuma rezultātā tika secināts, ka visām skolēnu audzināšanā iesaistītajām pusēm ir nepieciešama visaptveroša izglītošana par to, kas ir vardarbība, par tās veidiem un formām. Respondenti, piemēram, neizprot, ka smēķēšana bērna klātbūtnē vai bērna pamešana novārtā, vai vecāku nolaidība ir vardarbība pret bērnu. Satraucošs ir arī tiesībsarga aktualizētais jautājums par bērna tiesībām būt pasargātam no vardarbības. Agresivitāti bērni var iemācīties ģimenē. Tā var tikt iemācīta pastarpināti no masu medijiem, ikdienā vērojot agresivitāti zilajos ekrānos. Zinātnieki jau ilgstoši ir satraukušies par ilgtermiņa efektu, kas rodas, bērniem saskaroties ar vardarbību medijos. Ja mēs vēlamies samazināt vardarbību, tad ir jāpanāk, lai beidzot sāktu darboties Bērnu tiesību aizsardzības likuma 50.panta pirmajā un otrajā daļā paredzētais, ka bērnam nedrīkst būt pieejami materiāli, kuros propagandēta cietsirdīga uzvedība, vardarbība, erotika, pornogrāfija, kuri rada draudus tā garīgajai attīstībai. Tas nozīmē, ka ir jāpanāk, lai mūsu bērni ikdienā būtu pasargāti no mediju uzmācīgās, vardarbību sludinošās ietekmes. Ir pienācis laiks konkrēti un plānveidīgi risināt visai Latvijas sabiedrībai aktuālus jautājumus. Nepietiek ar to, ka politiski deklarē problēmas. Tās ir jāpārvērš konkrētos, mērķtiecīgos rīcībpolitikas soļos, kuriem būtu jāatspoguļojas Izglītības un zinātnes ministrijas ilgtermiņa un īstermiņa plānošanas dokumentos. Un tāpēc mēs gaidām no ministrijas konkrētus risinājumus. Frakcija “No sirds Latvijai” nepiekrīt tiesībsarga ziņojumā minētajiem tendenciozajiem skaitļiem attiecībā uz XI Latvijas Skolu jaunatnes dziesmu un deju svētku dalībnieku skaitu estrādē. Un nobeidzot būtu jāatzīmē tiesībsarga teiktais avīzē “Diena” 15.februārī. Tur ir šādi skarbi vārdi: “(..) bērni nav jāuztver kā vergi – viņiem nav jāguļ skolu sporta zālēs. (..)
