Pirmkārt, vēlos pateikties Laimdotai Straujumai un viņas vadītajam Ministru kabinetam par darbu divu gadu garumā. Otrkārt, vēlos pieskarties trijiem topošās valdības deklarācijas punktiem - 16., 21. un 65.punktam. Deklarācijas 16. un 21.punktā tiek runāts par Rail Baltica īstenošanu, kā arī par prognozējama transporta infrastruktūras finansējuma modeļa izveidi Latvijā, un tas mani priecē. Deklarācijas 65.punktā tiek runāts par Baltijas valstu un Ziemeļvalstu sadarbību (īpaši drošības, transporta un enerģētikas jomā), izmantojot Baltijas Asamblejas, Baltijas Ministru padomes un Baltijas un Ziemeļvalstu sadarbības ietvarus. Tāpēc es sevišķi vēlos vērsties pie topošās valdības ministra - satiksmes nozares vadītāja, jo pagājušā gada beigās mēs, deputātu grupa sadarbībai ar Igaunijas parlamentu, viesojāmies Valkā un Valgā, kur mēs uzzinājām par vienu nejēdzību. Studēju Tērbatas Universitātē līdz 1996.gadam, atceros, kādas galvassāpes radīja transporta savienojums starp Latviju un Igauniju. Vienu brīdi tas jautājums tika risināts, bet šobrīd realitāte ir tāda, ka... Lai arī mēs runājam par Rail Baltica un par to, ka ir jāveido savienojama transporta infrastruktūra, realitāte ir tāda, ka ir trīs vilcieni no Tallinas līdz Valgai un ir trīs vilcieni no Rīgas līdz Lugažiem un Valkai, bet diemžēl šie vilcieni nav savienojami. Proti, tie nesatiekas uz viena perona, un, no viena vilciena izkāpjot, nevar iekāpt otrā vilcienā un doties virzienā uz Tartu un Tallinu. Tāpēc es vēršos pie topošā satiksmes ministra. Es ceru, ka jūs dabūsiet “Pasažieru vilciena”, “Latvijas dzelzceļa”, valdības (šobrīd vēl topošās vadības) un arī savu Igaunijas kolēģu atbalstu, ar igauņu ekonomikas ministru sēdīsieties pie viena galda un risināsiet šo jautājumu, jo projekta Rail Baltica īstenošana mums vēl stāv priekšā. Ceru, ka izdosies. Un Māris Kučinskis tikko teica: “...ir ministri, ir darbi.” Izdošanos!".
