Protams, tas ir labi, ka spējam tik ātri reaģēt uz izaicinājumiem, tomēr valstij, kura vēlas veiksmīgi ekonomiski attīstīties ilgtermiņā, nepieciešama skaidra ilgtermiņa politika. Pašreiz tādas nav. Valsts līmenī trūkst skaidru vadlīniju attiecībā uz visām ar investīciju piesaisti un uzturēšanu saistītajām institūcijām – Ārlietu ministriju, Ekonomikas ministriju, Satiksmes ministriju, Finanšu ministriju, Vides aizsardzības un reģionālās attīstības ministriju un tā tālāk. Īpaši akūta ir pašvaldību, kā arī šaurākas nozīmes institūciju neiesaistīšana investīciju piesaistē. Šajā sakarā jāpiemin Konkurences padome, Publisko iepirkumu birojs, Valsts ieņēmumu dienests, kam būtu jāturpina darbs pie Latvijas kā pie investīcijām pievilcīgas un drošas vides veidošanas.
