Ir svarīgi, ko tie stāsta vai nestāsta ne tikai latviski, bet arī krieviski un angliski. Starp citu, Latvijas sabiedriskajā medijā laikam vairs nebūs informācijas angliski... (Starpsaucieni no zāles: “Būs! Ir!”) Paldies. Cerams, ka koalīcijas deputāti tam sekos, lai tiešām tā būtu. Izglītība arī ir svarīga saistībā ar nacionālo drošību. Mazākumtautības arī, kā jau pieminēja kolēģi. Veselības aprūpe. Neminēšu konkrētus gadījumus. Demogrāfija, reģionu attīstība, demokrātijas stiprināšana, kiberdrošība, tiesiskums un lietu izskatīšanas termiņi tiesu sistēmā; protams, arī Nacionālie bruņotie spēki un to rīcībā esošais aprīkojums, kā arī Zemessardze. Kā atsevišķa nacionālās drošības joma man būtu jāmin reģioni un administratīvo reģionu trūkums Latvijas valstī. Un, par to runājot un analizējot situāciju, droši vien man nepietiktu ar trim minūtēm. Tas ir atsevišķs jautājums, par kuru, es ceru, arī mēs šeit, Saeimā, izvērtīsim daudz plašākas debates. Varbūt kādreiz veltīsim tam atsevišķu sēdi, kā mēs šobrīd veltām nacionālajai drošībai un ārlietām. Man pašam, kā jau nākušam no reģioniem, no konkrēta reģiona, ir daži jautājumi, kurus gribētos uzdot. Varbūt tie pašreizējai valdības vadītājai vai viņas pēctecim kaut kur, tā teikt, aizķersies aiz auss. Vai Latvija būs gatava reaģēt uz mēģinājumiem šķelt sabiedrību, apdraudēt valsts demokrātiju un drošību ne tikai Latgalē, bet arī šeit pat, Rīgā? Kādā veidā turpināsies pretdarbība Krievijas propagandai starptautiskajās aktivitātēs un plašsaziņas līdzekļos? Vai turpināsies Latgales mediju telpas stiprināšanas pasākumi? Diemžēl daļa valsts austrumu reģiona iedzīvotāju joprojām dzīvo citā informācijas telpā. Diemžēl arī daļa iedzīvotāju šeit, Rīgā. Un Jaungada nakts uguņošana pulksten 23.00 daudzās Latvijas lielākajās pilsētās joprojām pārspēj pusnakts salūtu. Vai izglītības sistēmas sakārtošana beidzot patiešām būs prioritāte, attīstot bērnos un jauniešos kritisko domāšanu un tādā veidā preventīvi veicinot ikviena indivīda imunitāti pret jebkāda veida ārvalstu propagandu? Novada mācība, manuprāt, kā obligāta ieviešama skolās. Tā varētu kļūt par identitātes stiprināšanas balstu visā valstī un, protams, pierobežā, kā arī veicinātu valstiskuma izpratni un patriotismu. Diemžēl ļoti populāri pēdējos gados ir daudzu jauniešu plāni par savas dzīves turpinājumu ārpus Latvijas. Manuprāt, svarīga būtu Jaunsardzes kustības attīstīšana skolās. Patriotiskās audzināšanas un izdzīvošanas iemaņu apgūšana ir nozīmīgs instruments. Skolās Jaunsardze ir izvēles priekšmets. Taču tam būtu jāpiesaista papildu finansējums, lai skolu vadībai palielinātos interese par šo kustību. Un nobeigumā es gribu piebilst (protams, saistībā arī ar to, ka mēs vakar atcerējāmies 25 gadus senu vēsturi un centāmies atzīmēt tos varonīgos cilvēkus, kas nebaidījās no rīcības tad), ka pavisam drīz mēs slavināsim tos cilvēkus, kas pirms 100 gadiem izveidoja mūsu valsti. Bet, manuprāt, svarīgi mums ir atbildēt uz jautājumu, vai mums ir un kas tieši ir mūsu šīsdienas varoņi un vai tādi būs rīt. Paldies.".
