Sociāldemokrātiskā partija SASKAŅA savā programmā nostiprināja, ka būtiska ir valsts loma ekonomikas vadībā valsts reālas ekonomikas konkurētspējas nodrošināšanā, un tas ir viens no ekonomikas politikas pamatprincipiem, uz kuriem SASKAŅA paredz balstīt Latvijas ekonomikas attīstību. Valsts loma ekonomikas vadībā Latvijai būs izšķiroša tikmēr, kamēr iekšzemes privātais sektors kļūs par aktīvu partneri ekonomikas attīstībā. Tagad, kad mūsu valsts ir pievienojusies Pasaules Tirdzniecības organizācijai un eirozonai, tā nevar izmantot muitas nodevas importa straumes regulēšanai, veikt subsidēšanu un īstenot citus protekcionisma politikas instrumentus, nedz arī izmantot nacionālās valūtas kursa maiņu eksporta veicināšanai. Līdzekļi, kas palikuši valsts rīcībā, ir valsts atbalsts reālas ekonomikas attīstībai, tai skaitā tiešas valsts investīcijas uzņēmuma pamatkapitālā. Šajā nolūkā valsts pārvaldībā jāsaglabā uzņēmumi, kuri jau ir valsts kontrolē, palielinot valsts daļu kopējā Latvijas kompāniju kapitālā. Tāpēc SASKAŅA iestājas par industriālās politikas praktisko pamatu, izvirzot visaptverošu valsts atbalstu savas nozares vadošajiem uzņēmumiem - tā saucamajiem nacionālajiem čempioniem. Neskatoties uz to, ka uzņēmuma airBaltic ilgtspēju visus šos gadus apdraudējis milzīgais negatīvais pašu kapitāls, 2012.gadā sasniedzot 183 miljonus eiro, bet šobrīd - ap 80 miljoniem eiro, šodien uzņēmumam airBaltic ir vadošā loma - tas ir eksporta nozares flagmanis, Baltijas zīmols. Latvijas aviācijas nozare veido ap trim procentiem no Latvijas iekšzemes kopprodukta un tieši vai pastarpināti nodrošina apmēram 40 tūkstošus darba vietu. Tomēr patiesība, kā mēs visi labi zinām, vienmēr ir konkrēta, nevis abstrakta, un, pieņemot lēmumu, jāvadās pēc principiem, bet vienlaikus jāparedz faktiskās lēmuma sekas. Vakar Budžeta un finanšu (nodokļu) komisijas sēdē - aizklātajā sēdē - es uzdevu jautājumu par airBaltic kredītsaistībām. Ikvienam uzņēmumam parasti ir kādas kredītsaistības, un tā ir norma. Cits jautājums, kāda ir kredītsaistību struktūra: summas, procenti, atmaksas termiņi. Uzņēmuma airBaltic vadība apliecināja, ka tādas saistības ir, bet neatklāja airBaltic finanšu prioritātes, radīdama manī bažas, ka airBaltic attīstībai no valsts budžeta piešķiramā summa var tikt iztērēta finanšu cauruma lāpīšanai, un tāpēc es nepiedalījos balsojumā. Pavisam nesen trīs Eiropas vadošās iestādes piešķīra Grieķijai finanšu palīdzību, un visa sabiedrība - gan mūsu cienījamā valstī, gan visā pārējā Eiropā - joprojām ir pārliecināta, ka tā nauda bija piešķirta, lai Grieķija attīstītos. Patiesībā tā nauda lielā mērā... liela daļa bija atvēlēta Grieķijas kreditoriem, un man liekas, ka tas var atkārtoties arī mūsu gadījumā, Latvijas gadījumā, - ka šī nauda, par kuru mēs tagad spriežam, var tikt atvēlēta tieši kreditoru prasību apmierināšanai. Diemžēl vakar vakarā no airBaltic saņemtais paskaidrojums nostiprināja šīs bažas, nevis tās izkliedēja. Tāpēc... Mēs principā nevaram būt pret valsts atbalstu airBaltic turpmākai attīstībai, bet konkrēti apstākļi - kredītsaistības, kuru summu es jums nevaru nosaukt, jo patiesībā tā ir ierobežotas pieejamības informācija, - rada mūsos bažas, ka šis lēmuma projekts, kuru tagad mēs apspriežam, tomēr ir riskants.
