Šādā situācijā ir dīvaini redzēt, ka vienai no prioritārajām nozarēm - tieši Izglītības un zinātnes ministrijai tiek samazināts piešķirtais finansējums gandrīz vai par 30 procentiem, salīdzinot ar iepriekšējo gadu. Ir ērti operēt ar procentiem pret iekšzemes kopproduktu, jo jebkurš lēmums nepārsniedz 5 procentus un negriež ausīs. Taču kāpēc gan neaplūkot krasās izmaiņas prioritārajās nozarēs? Pirmajām divām - Aizsardzības ministrijai un Iekšlietu ministrijai - finansējums salīdzinājumā ar pērno gadu ir pieaudzis attiecīgi par 45 procentiem un 11 procentiem. Veselības ministrijai finansējums ir saglabāts iepriekšējā gada apjomā, bet nākamajai prioritārajai nozarei - Izglītības un zinātnes ministrijai - ir krass samazinājums - 30 procenti. Interesanti, ka nauda atradusies arī Zemkopības ministrijai ar pieaugumu 13 procenti un Tieslietu ministrijai - plus četri procenti. Mums ir viszemākie pedagogu atalgojumi, vismazākais finansējums zinātnei un augstskolām, kā arī interešu izglītībai. Aicinu nepieļaut turpmāko finansējuma samazināšanu izglītības nozarē un atbalstīt mērķdotācijas palielināšanu pašvaldībām.".
