Šodien Saeimas sēdē tika skatīti vairāki aktuāli jautājumi – grozījumi Bērnu tiesību aizsardzības likumā, grozījumi Tiesu izpildītāju likumā, kuri paplašina zvērinātu tiesu izpildītāju funkcijas un uzdevumus –, kā arī tika apstiprināta Nacionālās drošības koncepcija. Grozījumi Bērnu tiesību aizsardzības likumā paredz saglabāt ģimenei daudzbērnu ģimenes statusu tikmēr, kamēr vecāku apgādībā ir vismaz trīs bērni, to skaitā arī bērni vecumā no 18 līdz 24 gadiem, ja viņi turpina mācīties. Šie grozījumi būtiski uzlabos daudzbērnu ģimeņu situāciju mūsdienu Latvijā. Apzinoties esošo situāciju, ka kopumā sabiedrības novecošanas dēļ mūsdienu jaunieši pavada arvien ilgāku laiku, iegūstot izglītību, un tāpēc darba tirgū integrējas ievērojami vēlāk, nepieciešams pilnveidot un adaptēt likuma normas, lai tās atbilstu šodienas realitātei. Ar šiem grozījumiem tiek ieviests papildu atbalsta mehānisms tieši daudzbērnu ģimenēm – grupai, kas pakļauta augstam nabadzības riskam. Šodien tika apstiprināta Nacionālās drošības koncepcija – dokuments, kurā noteikti valsts apdraudējuma novēršanas stratēģiskie pamatprincipi un prioritātes, kas jāņem vērā, izstrādājot jaunus politikas plānošanas dokumentus, tiesību aktus un rīcības plānus nacionālās drošības jomā. Nacionālā drošība šodienas saspīlētajā politiskajā klimatā ir neatliekams un fundamentāli nozīmīgs jautājums. Situācijai pasaulē mainoties ik pa dienai, mums ir arī jābūt gataviem apzināt, novērst un pārvarēt draudus mūsu valsts un iedzīvotāju drošībai. To sekmīgi varēsim īstenot tikai kopīgiem spēkiem, sadarbojoties un kvalitatīvi izprotot to, ko darām. Jaunnedēļ tiks sasaukta Saeimas ārkārtas sēde, lai pieņemtu likumprojektu “Par valsts budžetu 2016.gadam” otrajā, galīgajā, lasījumā. No Nacionālās apvienības puses aktuālākais jautājums budžeta ietvaros ir atbalsts ģimenēm iedzīvotāju ienākuma nodokļa atvieglojumu veidā (atvieglojumi par apgādībā esošām personām). Nacionālās apvienības virzītais risinājums ir fiskāli izdevīgāks, jo skar budžeta plānošanu ilgtermiņā, kā arī mazina ietekmi uz pašvaldību budžetiem. Būtisks ir arī fakts, ka atvieglojumi par apgādājamiem nesamazināsies turpmākajos gados. Tikpat svarīgs panākums ir 2,3 miljonu novirzīšana “buferim”, kas kalpos kā atbalsta mehānisms bērniem no pašvaldībām.
