Pašvaldības ir darījušas, ko varējušas, un neviena pašvaldība nav par to, lai neceltu vai neatjaunotu jau esošos bērnudārzus. Tāpēc arī mēs iestājamies par to, lai grozījumi Izglītības likumā... ka šis priekšlikumu iesniegšanas termiņš ir jāpagarina, un, protams, mēs balsojam par steidzamību, jo tas ir aktuāli arī pašvaldībām, izstrādājot savus budžetus, lai tās varētu iekļaut atbilstoši izstrādātajiem Ministru kabineta noteikumiem līdzekļus savos budžetos. Arī es pats personīgi piedalos darba grupā VARAM ministrijā, kura izstrādā šos noteikumus, lai tie apmierinātu abas puses un arī privāto bērnudārzu īpašniekus un lai tie nenonāk pretrunā un nekļūst par slogu pašvaldībām. Protams, mēs visi esam par to, ka mums ir jānodrošina mūsu pašvaldībā dzīvojošie bērni ar bērnudārziem, bet ir jābūt samērīguma principam, lai tas apmierinātu abas puses. Un otra lieta, kurai es gribētu nedaudz pieskarties. Šobrīd ļoti daudz tiek runāts par reģionālās reformas nākamo kārtu. Gribu teikt, ka arī šajā nedēļā koalīcijas sanāksmē mēs tikāmies VARAM ministrijā un pārrunājām šo jautājumu. Tika piedāvāti divi, teiksim tā, modeļi. Viens ir sadarbības modelis un otrs – jau ar konkrētu pašvaldību skaitu. Mēs nonācām pie kopsaucēja, ka šobrīd no šiem piedāvātajiem modeļiem mūs, it īpaši mūsu frakciju, neapmierina neviens modelis. Bet katrā ziņā mēs esam gatavi uzklausīt priekšlikumus no VARAM ministrijas puses, no speciālistu puses un par šo jautājumu diskutēt tālāk. Paldies.".
