Šodien Saeimas sēdē bija vairāki nozīmīgi jautājumi, bet šīs nedēļas vispārējās patriotisma noskaņās izcelšanas vērts ir Saeimas Izglītības, zinātnes un kultūras komisijā skatītais Kultūras ministrijas izstrādātais Nemateriālā kultūras mantojuma likuma projekts. Patriotisms ir savas dzimtenes, valsts mīlestība, kā arī darbošanās tās labā, aizstāvot to kā darbos, tā arī vārdos. Patriotisms ir savas valsts un visu tajā dzīvojošo etnisko grupu mīlēšana, nevis tikai valsts simbolu godināšana. Patriotisma fundaments ir solidaritāte, kas izpaužas izjūtās un rīcībā dažādās situācijās. Patriotisma jūtas veido noteiktu kopības sajūtu raisoši dzimtenes vēstures notikumi. Par patriotiem nepiedzimst, par tādiem kļūst patriotiskās audzināšanas rezultātā. Nemateriālā kultūras mantojuma apzināšanās un nodošana nākamajām paaudzēm ir viens no kopības sajūtu veidojošiem stūrakmeņiem. Diemžēl sagatavotajā Nemateriālās kultūras mantojuma likuma projektā nav aprakstīti konkrēti mehānismi, kā tad šī mantojuma apguve būtu iekļaujama formālajā un neformālajā izglītībā. Neskatoties uz sešus gadus ilgušo izstrādes procesu, nākas atzīt, ka likumprojekts pēc būtības ir brāķis. Tas ir deklaratīvs un apraksta sistēmu, kura jau funkcionē, bet neapraksta, kā sasniegt likuma mērķi, saglabāt nemateriālo kultūras mantojumu un nodrošināt tā ilgtspēju, nododot to nākamajām paaudzēm. Likumprojektā nav pateikts, kā saglabāt nemateriālo kultūras mantojumu, kas tiks iekļauts sarakstā. Likumprojektā nav iekļauti konkrēti mehānismi un instrumenti nemateriālā kultūras mantojuma saglabāšanai un tā ilgtspējas nodrošināšanai, nododot to nākamajām paaudzēm. Nemateriālais mantojums ir ne tikai dažādas prasmes, tādas kā amatniecība, dziedāšana, bet arī vērtību un rīcību kopums. Aicinu deputātus un ikvienu Latvijas iedzīvotāju šajā nedēļā padomāt katram par sevi: kā mana rīcība ikdienā atspoguļo manas vērtības, vai mana rīcība un pieņemtie lēmumi kalpo kā paraugs jaunās paaudzes patriotiskai audzināšanai, kā esmu darbojies savas dzimtenes labā, vai sarkanbaltsarkanās lentītes piespraušana svētku nedēļā apliecina manu patieso pārliecību, gatavību aizstāvēt savu dzimteni kā vārdos, tā darbos? Paldies pedagogiem, kultūras darbiniekiem, nevalstisko organizāciju biedriem, pašdarbības kolektīvu dalībniekiem, tradicionālo prasmju kopējiem, kuru darbība ikdienā, ne tikai svētku nedēļā, apliecina patiesu patriotismu un dzimtenes mīlestību.
