Tāpēc politiķi savās runās, it sevišķi priekšvēlēšanu runās, ļoti aktīvi aizstāv mazāku, efektīvāku un profesionālāku valsts pārvaldi. Politiskā biroja vadītājs parasti ir ietekmīgāka persona par ministru. Tikai es jums teikšu godīgi - Laimdotas Straujumas politiskā biroja vadītāju tā arī neviens īsti nepazīst. Tāpēc nav vērts audzēt papildu lieko svaru valsts pārvaldē. Varbūt mēs tomēr varam ietaupīt 800 tūkstošus eiro gadā un iztērēt tos efektīvākiem un labākiem mērķiem. Cienītās deputātes, godātie deputāti! Ir politiķi, kas tikai runā un neko nedara (Dep. K.Šadurskis un citi deputāti: “Jā, ir! Jā!”), un jūtas kā nieres taukos. Bet ir politiķi, kuri grib darīt, bet baidās. Baidās, ka var kļūdīties, un baidās, ka šīs šaurās interešu grupas uz viņiem izdarīs spiedienu. Un tad ir politiķi, kuri dara.
