Tātad biznesa pārstāvji iesniedza savus priekšlikumus, kas ir uzlabojams pašvaldību darbā. Un tā soli pa solim mēs iesim, lai izpildītu tos rādītājus, kuros mēs redzam neizpildi. Es gribētu tomēr dažiem opozīcijas deputātiem atgādināt lietas, kas jau sen izdarītas. Piemēram, Viedās attīstības stratēģija ir jau pieņemta, valdība jau... (No zāles dep. I.Zariņš: “Neviens to nesaprot, jo tas ir četros dokumentos!”) Labi! Tātad tas ir pieņemts. Ja runājam par pensijām, kuras 2010.gadā un citos iepriekšējos gados ir aprēķinātas ar negatīvu kapitāla indeksu, tad jāteic, ka budžeta projektā ir paredzēts pārrēķins 2016.gadā... 2016., 2017.gadā mēs pārrēķināsim 2011.gada pensijas un tā tālāk. Tur ir kārtība, kādā tiek pārrēķinātas citu gadu pensijas. Tālāk. Lai celtu tieslietu sistēmas.... tiesu sistēmas cilvēku kvalifikāciju, ir paredzēti vairāki desmiti miljonu eiro nākošajos gados. Un tas arī, domāju, mums veicinās sistēmas objektivitāti. Par budžetu un par nodokļiem. Kā jau es savā ziņojumā teicu, tiklīdz tiks pieņemts budžets, finanšu ministrs kopā ar sociālajiem un sadarbības partneriem uzsāks darbu pie trīs gadu termiņa, tātad vidēja termiņa nodokļu stratēģijas, lai nevajadzētu katru gadu domāt par nodokļiem. Tātad būs trīs gadu stratēģija. Es pilnīgi piekrītu teiktajam par finansējumu zinātnei un inovācijām. Un ar inovācijām es domāju ne tikai mūsu tautsaimniecību, mūsu biznesu; inovācijas ir ļoti svarīgas arī valsts pārvaldē. Un es ļoti ceru, ka mēs visi būsim inovatīvi, jo citādi mēs, divi miljoni, nevaram parādīt sevi pasaulei. Paldies - un arī par inovācijām! (Aplausi.)".
