Un viens no jautājumiem, kam es šajā ziņojumā pierakstīju lielu jautājuma zīmi, ir saistīts ar tēmu, kas īstenībā saistīta arī ar budžetu. Bet es vakar biju ļoti pārsteigts, kad mūsu partijā “No sirds Latvijai” vakar tikāmies... Pie viena galda ar mums sēdēja gan darba devēji, gan darba ņēmēji un kopīgi norādīja uz vienām un tām pašām problēmām šajā jautājumā, tas ir, jautājumā par nodokļu politikas stabilitāti. Es ļoti ceru, ka Latvijā mēs ar laiku varēsim plānot šos nodokļus, un es ļoti ceru, ka nākotnē cilvēkiem nebūs jāmaksā no saviem ienākumiem avansā valstij un pēc gada jāprasa atpakaļ tas, no kā viņi ir atviegloti... Un otrs jautājums, kas mani dziļi uztrauc tieši kā juristu un arī kā Latvijas iedzīvotāju, ir jautājums, par kuru ir runāts 5.1.nodaļā; tā ir priekšpēdējā nodaļa, un tā ir par drošību valstī. Mēs bieži vien uztraucamies un pārmetam par to, ka Latvijas tiesas nenotiesā vainīgos, noziedzniekus, vai ka sodi ir pārāk maigi. Bet Latvijas ģenerālprokurors vairākkārt ir uzsvēris jautājumu par izmeklēšanas kvalitāti. Arī tiesneši norādīja uz to, ka pierādījumi ir vāji. Vai Latvijas valdība kaut vienu vārdu deklarācijā... nē, deklarācijā viss kārtībā, bet ziņojumā... kas ir darīts, lai paaugstinātu izmeklētāju darba profesionālismu? Es varbūt netieši, bet gribētu uzsvērt, ka Latvijā nav profesionālas augsta līmeņa izglītības iestādes, kur sagatavot profesionālus izmeklētājus. Tāda bija Latvijas Policijas akadēmija. Un tāpēc es ļoti vēršu valdības uzmanību uz to, ka Nacionālais attīstības plāns... Līdz 2020.gadam ir atlikuši tikai pieci gadi. Bet būtu ļoti svētīgi padomāt par šīs institūcijas darbības atjaunošanu, jo Latvijā cilvēki tomēr grib, lai noziegumi tiktu atklāti - turklāt profesionāli atklāti. Paldies par uzmanību.".
