Tātad mums arī šeit liels darbs priekšā. Skatot šo dokumentu, tomēr ir jāņem vērā, ka vairākās jomās – vairākās nozīmīgās jomās! – mēs tomēr atpaliekam no tiem mērķiem, kuri ir noteikti Nacionālajā attīstības plānā un Latvijas ilgtspējīgas attīstības stratēģijā un kuri attiecas gan uz nevienlīdzības mazināšanu, gan arī uz apstrādes rūpniecības daļas proporciju iekšzemes kopproduktā, kas drīzāk mazinās tā vietā, lai pieaugtu. Un droši vien tas tā notiek tāpēc, ka arī izdevumi pētniecībai un attīstībai mums diemžēl atpaliek no plānotā. Tie ir jautājumi, par kuriem būs jādomā valdībai turpmākajā darbā un kuri būs jāņem vērā, arī budžetu skatot, jo budžeta paketē ir virkne priekšlikumu, kas, ja tos pieņems, varētu nevienlīdzības indeksus mazināt. Šie indeksi ir tādi: jo lielāks ir šis indekss, jo lielāka ir nevienlīdzība, par kuru šis indekss liecina. Šajā ziņojumā mēs redzam arī vienu indeksu, kas liecina, ka ir viena joma, kurā jau visi plāni ir pārsniegti, – tas ir kultūras pasākumu apmeklētāju skaits. Prieks par to! Vienlaikus tomēr arī nebūtu pareizi samazināt šo pieaugumu citām amatpersonām, par kuru darbu varbūt nav īpašu pretenziju. Katrā gadījumā mums ir jāskatās, lai valsts pārvalde būtu spējīga konkurēt ar privāto sektoru. Bet šinī gadījumā tomēr būtu bijis pareizi deputātu algas vismaz uz šo gadu iesaldēt. Un visbeidzot es arī vēlos Nacionālās apvienības vārdā apsveikt skolotājus Skolotāju dienā. Un es ceru, ka Saeimai izdosies vienoties par skolotāju algu reformu, kas arī varētu būt viens no soļiem kvalitatīvas izglītības nodrošināšanai, vēl labākas izglītības nodrošināšanai nākotnē, jo īstenībā jau izglītība nemaz tik slikta pie mums nav.
