Nevienlīdzība mūsu valstī jau ir pielīdzināma sliktākajiem piemēriem Eiropā. Un pavisam īsi par minimālās algas celšanu uz 370 eiro, ko paredz valdība nākamā gada budžetā. Reģionos privātajiem uzņēmējiem tas radīs nopietnas problēmas, un viņi vienkārši būs spiesti vai nu ieiet ēnu ekonomikā, vai vienkārši atlaist kādus darbiniekus. Respektīvi, valdības darbība, šāda rīcība tikai pasliktinās situāciju reģionos un vienkārši samazinās darba vietas privātajā sektorā. Un attiecībā tieši uz reģioniem es savā runā norādīju, ka šis informatīvais ziņojums, ko Straujumas kundze šodien mums prezentēja, satur 232 reizes vārdu “reģions”, tomēr šajā ziņojumā vārds “reģions” tiek “locīts” dažādos veidos – pasaules reģioni, Baltijas valstu reģions, Ziemeļvalstu reģions... Protams, tiek piesaukta arī Rīga, Pierīga... galvaspilsētas reģions un it kā mums tā tradicionāli labāk zināmie – Kurzemes, Vidzemes, Zemgales un Latgales reģions. Tomēr vēlreiz vēlos uzsvērt, ka nedz valdībā, nedz arī Saeimā, nedz vispār Latvijā mums termins “reģions” nav skaidri definēts. Katrs šo terminu, jēdzienu “reģions” skata pa savam, un tas apstāklis vienkārši rada sajukumu un nekādā veidā neveicina to mērķi – reģionālo attīstību un reģionālo vienlīdzību un tā tālāk. Un visbeidzot. Un pietrūkst līdzekļu pensiju indeksācijai un tā tālāk... veselai virknei... Kā jau teicu, līdzekļu trūkst, un turklāt mēs redzam, ka budžetā tiek paredzēts nodokļu pieaugums. Tas nozīmē, ka nav morālu tiesību palielināt algas Saeimā un citās valsts struktūrās. Ja līdzekļu trūkst, tad, mūsuprāt, būtu koleģiāli un tikai loģiski, ja valsts šādā gadījumā nepalielinātu savas algas un būtu solidāras ar visu sabiedrību. Paldies jums par uzmanību.".
