Toreiz vienīgais, ko mani kolēģi no VIENOTĪBAS atļāvās pateikt, ka tās ir rasisma izpausmes, bet vēl līdz šim brīdim neviens nav pat mēģinājis apstrīdēt ne šos ciparus, ne arī to, ka tāda iespējamība pastāv. Kāpēc es to visu saku? Mums ir bijis pietiekoši daudz laika, lai analizētu situāciju un tās iespējamo tālāko attīstību. Kas ir noticis? A nekas! Mēs dzīvojam šodien... Ja uz militāro terminoloģiju pārejam, tad mēs dzīvojam operatīvi, diena ir pagājusi, un paldies Dievam! Kāda ir mūsu taktika? Kāda ir mūsu stratēģija? A nekāda! Man smaidu izsauc visas tās debates, kas notika saistībā ar to, cik bēgļus mēs pieņemsim: 10, 50, 100? Neviens to nezina, Straujumas kundze, tāpēc ka... Kad mēs tikāmies ar jums Baltijas Asamblejas apakškomisijas sēdē, mēs runājām arī par to, ko Latvija varētu izdarīt... ka tieši Latvijai būtu jāiniciē jautājums par to, ka, lai bēgļu straumes nebūtu, ir jāveic sauszemes operācija, jāvienojas ar Eiropas Savienību, ar NATO, lai iznīcinātu šos te teroristus. Ja mēs gribam, lai bēgļi neietu prom no turienes, tātad mums ir jāpanāk, tajā skaitā mums kā valstij, lai tur tiktu atgriezts valstiskums. Jautājums: a ko jūs darāt tajos samitos - NATO, Eiropas Savienības visās sēdēs? Kāpēc tur nenotiek šīs diskusijas? Notiek diskusijas par lietām, kas man atkal izsauc smaidu, kad es dzirdu, ka, ziniet, karakuģi beidzot gremdēs tos kontrabandistu kuģus. Tad palasiet starptautiskās jūras tiesības, kur melns uz balta ir pateikts, kādi ir pienākumi karakuģim, kad tas satiek pirātu kuģi vai kuģi, kurš nodarbojas ar cilvēku tirdzniecību! A mēs neko nedarām! Kad mēs šajā apakškomisijas sēdē runājām arī par kiberdrošību, jūs teicāt: tā ir laba ideja! Bet tas, ka Baltijas Asambleja ir pieņēmusi lēmumu... rezolūciju par kibernoziegumu izmeklēšanas un novēršanas centra izveidi Rīgā, tas jums bija jaunums. Izrādās, ka jūs to nezināt. Par to, kas skar izglītību. Skaisti jau skan... Beidzot atzīstiet, ka tā bija, maigi izsakoties, liela kļūda - likvidēt Latvijas Policijas akadēmiju... ka mums speciālistu nav. Bet jūs piedāvājat policistus gatavot, tajā skaitā arī pa specialitātēm, Rēzeknes Robežsargu mācību centrā... centra poligonā. Kādā veidā - nesaprotu! Nav jau nozīmes daudz diskutēt... Runājot par stratēģiju. Manuprāt, tad mēs sarkaniem burtiem varam ierakstīt, ka mūsu vienīgā stratēģija - uzklausīt un izpildīt Eiropas Savienības, NATO direktīvas, un ar to ir āmen baznīcā. Mums neko vairāk nevajag - gaidīsim direktīvas! Nekādas iniciatīvas un nekādas patstāvīgas domāšanas!".
