Mūsu frakcija, neraugoties pat uz to, ka likumprojekts izstrādāts juridiski nekvalitatīvi, balsoja “par” šī likumprojekta nodošanu izskatīšanai komisijās, jo mūsu politiskais spēks atbalsta diskusiju par šo tēmu. Jāņem vērā arī tas, ka šī lieta sabiedrību uztrauc, bet atsevišķu sabiedrības daļu pat šokē. Un mēs respektējam šo cilvēku viedokli. Turklāt jāņem vērā arī tas, ka valdība joprojām sabiedrību tur neziņā par patvēruma meklētāju integrācijas plāna esamību vai neesamību, tādējādi ģenerējot dažādas bailes iedzīvotājos. Otrs jautājums, par kuru vēlos paust frakcijas viedokli, ir jautājums par Patvēruma likumu. Šodien ar balsu vairākumu pirmajā lasījumā tika atbalstīti grozījumi Patvēruma likumā, šie grozījumi paredz piešķirt Saeimai tiesības lemt par bēgļu uzņemšanu. Mēs ļoti labi apzināmies, ka Nacionālā apvienība, tēlojot cīņu pret bēgļiem, iesniegusi šos grozījumus ar ieceri, ka tie tiks ar balsu vairākumu noraidīti. Mēs nepalīdzējām Nacionālajai apvienībai šīs ieceres īstenošanā un balsojām par Patvēruma likuma grozījumu atbalstīšanu pirmajā lasījumā. Rezultātā grozījumi tika pieņemti. Bet, protams, ir arī citi iemesli, kuri ir krietni svarīgāki un var izskaidrot SASKAŅAS šīsdienas balsojumu. Mēs visi ļoti labi zinām, ka valdība piekrīt uzņemt bēgļus. Un šis lēmums tika pieņemts bez konsultācijām ar plašāku sabiedrību, bez apspriešanas parlamenta sēdēs un nesaņemot Saeimas deputātu, Latvijas tautas ievēlētu pārstāvju, akceptu. SASKAŅA uzskata, ka šāda līmeņa lēmuma pieņemšana nedrīkst būt balstīta tikai uz Ministru kabineta lēmuma pamata un šim jautājumam jābūt apspriestam Saeimas sēdēs, un tas jāpieņem ar Saeimas balsojumu. Rezultātā tiks veicināta parlamentārisma nostiprināšana, lemjot par sabiedrībai būtiskām lietām. Kontekstā ar šo likumprojektu mēs vēlamies konkrētu, godīgu, pragmatisku skaidrojumu par daudziem ar bēgļu uzņemšanas procesu Latvijā saistītiem jautājumiem. Kā tiks īstenota šo cilvēku integrācija un valodas apmācība? Kur viņi tiks izmitināti? Cik tas izmaksās katram Latvijas nodokļu maksātājam? Bet Ministru kabineta darbības rezultātā pašlaik vairs nav un nevar būt diskusijas par to, vai uzņemt vai neuzņemt bēgļus, jo valdība visus konceptuālos lēmumus jau ir pieņēmusi. Tagad svarīgākais ir tieši tas, kā tiks organizēts bēgļu uzņemšanas process. Savukārt Ministru kabinets vienkārši izvairās informēt par to sabiedrību, un tas var liecināt par to, ka valdībai vai nu nav nojausmas par šiem jautājumiem, vai arī – gluži pretēji! – plānotā rīcība ir zināma, bet par to ir kauns. Tāpēc ir ļoti svarīgi, lai par šiem jautājumiem lemtu visi 100 Saeimas deputāti, kuriem ir mandāts no Latvijas tautas. Es uzskatu, ka parlaments ir īstā vieta šādai diskusijai. Savukārt valdība joprojām nerīkojas. Tāpēc ir ļoti svarīgi, lai par visiem šiem jautājumiem lemtu visi 100 tautas pārstāvji, kuriem neapšaubāmi ir ciešāka saikne ar vēlētājiem nekā valdības ministriem. Paldies par uzmanību.".
