Un tad, kad mēs visu šo informāciju būsim ieguvuši savā rīcībā, nebūs nekādu problēmu šo likumprojektu, jau izsvērtu un kvalitatīvu, nevis tādu pa fiksam sagrābstītu, arī tālāk virzīt un Saeimā pieņemt. Ir arī viens cits likumprojekts, kas ir patiešām reāli vērsts pret cilvēku kontrabandistiem un ko mēs šodien pieņēmām pirmajā lasījumā... Proti, tika nodots skatīšanai likumprojekts, kas paredz lielāku atbildību par personu reālu nelikumīgu pārvietošanu pāri robežai jeb, tā vienkārši runājot, par cilvēku kontrabandu. Un turpmāk par šādu rīcību – piedalīties vai nepiedalīties šādā, nu, es teikšu, noziegumā – būs rūpīgi jāpārdomā valsts amatpersonām, jo amatpersonām pieļaujamais sods būs līdz pat septiņiem gadiem cietumā ar iespējamu mantas konfiskāciju. Un gadījumā, ja nu pēkšņi pie mums notiktu līdzīgi kā Eiropā, kur jau vairāki gadījumi ir bijuši, kad bēgļu kontrabandas dēļ gājuši bojā cilvēki, tad šīm pašām amatpersonām būtu jārēķinās ar līdz pat 15 gadu ilgu cietumsodu. Arī par viltotu uzturēšanās dokumentu izkārtošanu ir paredzēts sods – līdz pieciem gadiem cietumā. Tā ka tas ir viens tāds praktisks solis cīņā pret cilvēku kontrabandu. Nu, un trešais, ko jau arī iepriekšējais runātājs pieminēja, ir likumprojekts, kas paredz izmaiņas Patvēruma likumā. Tas paredz, ka lielākā daļa jautājumu par bēgļu pieņemšanu un izmitināšanu tomēr būs jāskata Saeimai, bet Saeima varēs deleģēt jebkurus no šiem jautājumiem Ministru kabinetam. Jāteic, ka šobrīd šis likumprojekts vēl nav tuvu ideālam, un tāpēc pirmajā lasījumā tas ir atdots komisijai, lai to pilnveidotu un izstrādātu līdz galam. Šis likumprojekts ir tapis tādēļ, lai Saeimai nebūtu jānodarbojas ar kaut kādiem pilnīgi... nu, teiksim, pašvaldību vai ministriju departamentu līmeņa jautājumiem, bet lai tiešām Saeima spriestu par ģenerālajiem, galvenajiem jautājumiem, atstājot izpildāmās lietas Ministru kabinetam, kā tas arī būtu normāli.
