Mēs nepalīdzēsim Nacionālajai apvienībai šīs ieceres īstenošanā un balsosim “par” likumprojekta “Grozījums Patvēruma likumā” atbalstīšanu pirmajā lasījumā. Bet, protams, ir arī citi iemesli, kuri ir krietni svarīgāki. Mēs zinām, ka valdība piekrīt uzņemt bēgļus, un šis lēmums tika pieņemts bez konsultācijām ar plašāku sabiedrību, bez apspriešanas parlamenta sēdēs un nesaņemot Saeimas deputātu, Latvijas tautas ievēlētu pārstāvju, akceptu. Esmu pārliecināts, ka šāda līmeņa lēmuma pieņemšana nedrīkst būt balstīta tikai uz Ministru kabineta lēmuma pamata. Šim jautājumam ir jābūt apspriestam Saeimas sēdēs, un tas jāpieņem ar Saeimas balsojumu. Rezultātā tiks veicināta parlamentārisma nostiprināšana, lemjot par sabiedrībai būtiskām lietām. Mēs kontekstā ar šo likumprojektu vēlamies dzirdēt valdības konkrētu, godīgu un pragmatisku skaidrojumu daudziem ar bēgļu uzņemšanas procesu Latvijā saistītiem jautājumiem: kā tiks īstenota šo cilvēku integrācija un valodas apmācība? Kur viņi tiks izmitināti? Cik tas izmaksās katram Latvijas nodokļu maksātājam? Ministru kabineta, kuru atbalsta Nacionālā apvienība, darbības rezultātā pašlaik vairs nav diskusijas par to - uzņemt vai neuzņemt bēgļus, jo valdība visus konceptuālos lēmumus jau ir pieņēmusi. Tagad svarīgākais ir tieši tas, kā tiks organizēts bēgļu uzņemšanas process. Savukārt Ministru kabinets vienkārši izvairās par to informēt sabiedrību, un tas var liecināt par to, ka valdībai nav nojausmas par šiem jautājumiem vai arī - gluži pretēji! - plānotā rīcība ir zināma, bet par to ir kauns. Tāpēc ir ļoti svarīgi, lai par šiem jautājumiem lemtu visi 100 Saeimas deputāti, kuriem ir mandāts no Latvijas tautas. Uzskatu, ka parlaments ir īstā vieta šādai diskusijai, un SASKAŅA atbalsta diskusiju par šo tēmu. Taču jāņem vērā arī tas, ka šī tēma Latvijas iedzīvotājus uztrauc un atsevišķu sabiedrības daļu - pat šokē. Mēs šo viedokli respektējam. Savukārt valdība joprojām tur neziņā sabiedrību par patvēruma meklētāju integrācijas plāna esamību vai neesamību, tādējādi ģenerējot dažādas bailes mūsu iedzīvotājos. Tāpēc ir ļoti svarīgi, lai par šiem jautājumiem lemtu visi 100 tautas pārstāvji, kuriem neapšaubāmi ir ciešāka saikne ar vēlētājiem nekā valdības ministriem. Paldies par uzmanību.".
