Varbūt viņš domāja, ka Valsts kontrole neievēros pārkāpumu, varbūt viņš bija pārliecināts, ka viņš ir labs saimnieks. Visticamāk gan, ka viņš domāja: iepūt man tur, kur skan, tev tāpat neskan tā kā man. Bet šobrīd mēs lemjam par jautājumu, kam nav sakara ar Dimanta motivāciju, vieglprātīgi rīkojoties ar nodokļu maksātāju naudu. Tāpat kā tam nav sakara ar mediju brīvību, žurnālistu pašcenzūras riskiem, dažādām tiesiskuma izpratnēm vai citiem mācību grāmatās izlasītiem jēdzieniem, par kuriem sabiedriskie mediji nepamatoti rada morālo paniku. Ja Anda Rožukalne, ja Sarmīte Ēlerte un citi tiešām vēlētos būt noderīgi sabiedrībai, viņi varētu veikt un publiskot pētījumu par nodokļu maksātāju naudas izšķērdētāju psiholoģisko profilu, kurā Dimants būtu ļoti labs un tipisks prototips. Cienījamie kolēģi, es jūs vēlos apsveikt, jo ar balsojumu par Aināra Dimanta atbrīvošanu no amata sabiedrībai tiek nosūtīts skaidrs vēstījums. Valsts kontroles atzinums - tā nav tukša skaņa! Ir beidzies tas laiks, kad ierēdņi varēja šeftēties pēc patikas bez jebkādām sekām. Sabiedrība jau ilgus gadus ir sašutusi par ierēdņu apzinātu nolaidību un ņirgāšanos par Valsts kontroles secinājumiem. Šī ir pirmā lielā Valsts kontroles un nodokļu maksātāju, jūsu vēlētāju, uzvara pār naudas izsaimniekotāju cinismu. Vēl daudz darba ir darāms. To no mums gaida nodokļu maksātāji, taču šis ir liels solis pareizajā virzienā. Es jūs lūdzu: balsojiet “par” Aināra Dimanta atlaišanu no amata!".
