Un es domāju: nu, ļoti sakarīgi! Bet ir ļoti konkrēta lieta - reputācija. Un, lūk, pagājušā gada novembrī, šķiet, 20.novembrī, es biju Vācijā pēc Baltvācu biedrības uzaicinājuma (viņi apmaksāja ceļu un viesnīcu, par pārējo bija jāmaksā pašiem), un tā sanāksme bija triju dienu sanāksme, un tur bija daudz cilvēku no Latvijas, no dažādiem rajoniem, - cilvēki, kas sadarbojas ar tiem vāciešiem, kuri dzīvoja Baltijā. Katru gadu viņi rīko šādas sanāksmes, un viņi ielūdz mani kā parlamenta pārstāvi, un arī no Igaunijas un Lietuvas bija parlamenta pārstāvji... Un, tā kā mēs bijām ielūgti, es godīgi tās trīs dienas tur nosēdēju. Pēkšņi otrajā dienā kaut kur ap pusdienlaiku parādījās Dimanta kungs. Ziniet, apmēram tā, kā Romas pāvests - atnāk un norunā savu runājamo. Es nevaru pateikt to runas sākumdaļu, jo tā ne sevišķi sakarīga bija, bet beigās, protams, bija tāda ļoti nesakarīga frāze, ka šī te nesakarīgā Saeima nedod to naudu, ko viņi prasa. Es arī vienu laiku strādāju Cilvēktiesību komisijā, un es biju gatavs teikt kādus argumentus, jo tur bija klāt studenti... Starp citu, no Šveices bija atbraukuši Latvijas studenti, no Vācijas - visi ļoti akurāti nosēdēja, ieskaitot vācu puses apmaksātās svinīgās vakariņas. Nekur Dimanta kunga nebija... Bet man jau nebija, kam teikt. Es jau jums teicu: viņš kā Romas pāvests pateica savu svinīgo runu un pazuda! Es domāju, ja viņš tajā sēdē bija, tas bija noticis tāpat kā man - atnāca oficiāls ielūgums. Nu, tad vispār neej, neparādies, ka tu tur esi bijis... Un ar šo tu attaisno savu nedarīšanu. Un, patiesību sakot, es redzu arī citās lietās, ka Dimanta kungs kā vadītājs absolūti neder. Es nebalsošu “par” citiem padomes locekļiem, bet, godīgi sakot, Dimanta kungu es atbalstīt nevaru.
