Kā cilvēkam, kuram pāri 50, man šis nosaukums varētu asociēties ar kādu vēsturē pieminētu epizodi Oktobra revolūcijas laikā; kādam citam intelektuālim varbūt šis nosaukums asociējas ar baletu “Apburtā princese”; praktiķis varbūt uzreiz padomā par zeķu rūpnīcu; vēl kāds cits - par romiešu mitoloģiju vai par ziemeļblāzmu. Bet, nu, kāds varbūt jaunāks puisis vienkārši nodomā: “Vai, cik jauks vārds meitenei!” Kāpēc es to saku? Tāpēc, ka, manuprāt, galvenais nav vis datums vai konkrēts dienas nosaukums, bet tas, kā cilvēki pret šo dienu izturas. Un šodien mums ir jāizšķiras par kalendāra papildināšanu ar divām atzīmējamām dienām, tas ir, Policijas darbinieku dienu 5.decembrī un Robežsargu dienu 7.novembrī. Šeit, zālē, sēdošie vecāka gadagājuma cilvēki, protams, atcerēsies, kāds šiem datumiem bija pielietojums padomju laikā. Bet, ticiet man, lielākā daļa valsts iedzīvotāju to ir sen aizmirsuši un gados jaunāki pat nemaz nav zinājuši! Bet abi šie datumi ir vēsturiski, abi šie datumi ir saistīti ar patiešām konkrētiem pasākumiem, kad tika veidotas abas šīs struktūras. Un grūti būtu noticēt, ka ģenerālis Balodis vai Tautas Padome tajā laikā, akceptējot šos dokumentus, domāja par lielās kaimiņvalsts kaut kādu lielinieku dumpi. Nākotnē šīs dienas būs tās, kurās policisti un robežsargi svinēs savu gadadienu un godinās savus labākos cilvēkus. Un tas viņiem liks padomāt arī par to, ka valsts viņiem izrāda cieņu par to, ka viņi veic šādu grūtu, atbildīgu darbu. Un lielākoties tas nozīmē - palīdzēt cilvēkiem. Vēl vairāk! Glābējiem un ugunsdzēsējiem šāda diena ir 17.maijā, tāpēc es domāju, ka nebūtu taisnīgi apdalīt vairāk kā... Piebildīšu vēl, ka nekādas ietekmes uz valsts budžetu šim likumprojektam nav. Un plus vēl man ir jāsaka paldies vārdi Latvijas Reģionu aliansei... Latvijas Reģionu apvienībai par to, ka viņi šo likumu ir aktualizējuši. Man ir jāsaka paldies arī SASKAŅAI, un it īpaši Agešina kungam, par apsolīto sapratni šī likuma izstrādes tālākajā gaitā. Tomēr viens gan man nav skaidrs - kāpēc, lai nonāktu līdz šādam balsojumam, ir bijuši vajadzīgi 20 gadi. Paldies, kolēģi! Lūdzu atbalstīt šo likumprojektu. (Dep.
