Es esmu izveidojis un vadījis darba grupu ar nozares speciālistiem no Latvijas Reklāmas asociācijas, no Latvijas Raidorganizāciju asociācijas un no komercmedijiem. Visi šie iesaistītie cilvēki vienprātīgi atzina esošās NEPLP kompetences absolūtu trūkumu un nevēlēšanos risināt nozares problēmas. Vienīgais, ko Ainārs Dimants dara Saeimā, ir nodokļu maksātāju naudas diņģēšana, mūsuprāt. Tajā pašā laikā netiek veikta piešķirto līdzekļu efektīva un lietderīga izlietojuma kontrole. Valsts kontrole savā atzinumā ir norādījusi, ka pagājušajā gadā 1,8 miljoni eiro ir izlietoti nelietderīgi. Tā, klausītāj, tā ir jūsu nauda! Tā ir izmaksāta, piemēram, par bezgaumībām, lamām un rupjībām “Latvijas Radio 5” ēterā. Šī padome – NEPLP – ir izplatījusi paziņojumu, ka šeit, Saeimā, notiek uzbrukums mediju brīvībai. Krievijā tiek uzbrukts medijiem, jo neatkarīgie žurnālisti tur par savu pārliecību mirst. Latvijas Žurnālistu asociācija savā paziņojumā definē politiķu ietekmi uz medijiem un – es tagad citēšu – “palielinātu risku žurnālistu pašcenzūras iespējai”. Ieklausieties, lūdzu! Totalitārās valstīs uzbrukums mediju brīvībai ir dzīvības un nāves jautājums. Latvijas gudriniekiem uzbrukums sabiedrisko mediju brīvībai ir žurnālistu pašcenzūras riska jautājums. Politiķiem grib aizliegt runāt par jūsu – cienījamais klausītāj, par jūsu! – naudas efektīvu un lietderīgu izlietojumu. Mēs nedrīkstam, izrādās, par to runāt, jo šādas diskusijas var radīt žurnālistos pašcenzūras risku. Smieklīgi! Tas vēlreiz pierāda, ka NEPLP absolūti nesaprot situācijas nopietnību.
