Pirmais, ko gribu pieminēt, ir likumprojekts “Negodīgas mazumtirdzniecības prakses aizlieguma likums”. Šis likumprojekts Tautsaimniecības, agrārās, vides un reģionālās politikas komisijā tika skatīts ļoti ilgstoši un ļoti sarežģīti, jo šī likumprojekta būtība ir regulēt mazumtirgotāju un pārtikas ražotāju attiecības. Nav noslēpums, ka lielie pārtikas veikalu tīkli izmanto diezgan negodīgi savu tā saukto iepirkumu varu, uzspiežot Latvijas pārtikas ražotājiem neizdevīgus noteikumus. Līdz ar to, protams, nācās krietni, krietni vien nodarboties ar abu pušu samierināšanu. Nu, šobrīd... Kā es vienmēr saku, labs likums ir tad, ja ar to nav apmierināta ne viena, ne otra ieinteresētā puse. Nu šobrīd acīmredzot tāda tā situācija arī ir. Otrs tāds likumprojekts, kas varbūt arī būs ļoti diskutabls, ir “Grozījumi Aizsargjoslu likumā”. Ir, protams, skaidrs, ka viena daļa zinātnieku – hidrobiologi – ir ārkārtīgi noraizējušies par Latvijas upju kvalitāti, jo, raugiet, diezgan daudz Latvijas upju krastos pēdējos gados ir saauguši alkšņi. Alkšņi ir īsa mūža koks, kas ļoti ātri satrupē, un sakrīt šie stumbri upītē. Upīte aizsērē, sākas tā sauktā eitrofikācija, nu arī zivīm tur vairs nav ko darīt. Un patiesībā ir šī doma, ka varētu atļaut kailcirtes tieši ūdensteču aizsargjoslās. Otra puse zinātnieku tomēr ir pretējās domās un apgalvo, ka, teiksim, šis upju krastu apaugums ir ļoti vajadzīgs upju tuvumā mītošu daudzu citu sugu izdzīvošanai. Būtībā šīs debates pārcelsies uz Vides un klimata politikas apakškomisiju, un uzklausīsim gan vienas puses, gan otras puses argumentus, un jāmēģina, protams, kaut kā risināt problēmu, nenodarot postu atkal, nu, teiksim, Latvijas dabas daudzveidībai. Runājot par aktualitātēm sakarā ar Valsts prezidenta vēlēšanām, varu ar pilnu atbildību paziņot, ka tikko Saeimas Kancelejā ir iesniegts un piereģistrēts ZZS frakcijas un frakcijas VIENOTĪBA deputātu parakstīts iesniegums par Raimonda Vējoņa izvirzīšanu par Latvijas Valsts prezidenta amata kandidātu. Parakstījis šo iesniegumu ir gan Zaļās partijas pārstāvis, konkrēti – Ingmārs Līdaka, gan VIENOTĪBAS pārstāve Solvita Āboltiņa, gan arī Augusts Brigmanis no Zemnieku savienības, Gundars Daudze no partijas “Latvijai un Ventspilij” un arī Skujas kungs no Liepājas partijas. Runājot par rezultātu, kāds gaidāms, jāteic, ka acīmredzot šis balsošanas process būs garš; es pieļauju, ka būs vismaz trīs vai četri balsojumi, kas aizņems praktiski visu dienu. Esmu pārliecināts, ka pie rezultāta nonāksim un ka mums nebūs jācer pēc tam, pēc kādām 10 dienām, ieraudzīt iesniegumu, kurā minēts kāda ļoti, ļoti šobrīd varbūt maz zināma cilvēka vārds vai... Nu, es domāju, ka šāda veida pārsteigumi mums nav vajadzīgi. Runājot par Raimondu Vējoni, esmu pilnīgi pārliecināts, ka viņam pilnīgi pietiek prasmes veikt prezidenta pienākumus. Raimonds Vējonis jau pabija vakar SASKAŅAS frakcijā, vakar pabija arī VIENOTĪBAS frakcijā. Viņš bija izvēlējies šo tikšanās grafiku tā, kā to ir pieņemts darīt prezidentam, tātad vispirms apmeklēt tās partijas, kuras ir ieguvušas visvairāk mandātu Saeimā. Nākošajā nedēļā Vējoņa kungs ir ļoti ieinteresēts tikties arī ar atlikušajām Saeimas frakcijām. Un tādā veidā ceram arī uz opozīcijas balsīm, jo galu galā šis būs nevis koalīcijas prezidents vai ZZS prezidents, šim jābūt Latvijas Valsts prezidentam.
