Šis ir tikai viens no politisko partiju jautājumiem, jo mēs jau iepriekš esam lēmuši gan par dalībnieku skaita palielināšanu, kas ir nepieciešams, lai dibinātu partiju, gan par citiem jautājumiem. Šeit tātad varbūt ir attiecīgi iespēja opozīcijas pārstāvjiem pozicionēties un runāt par to, ka, redziet, uz kāda cita rēķina kāds var tagad kļūt it kā bagātāks, ja dažādā citā veidā to noformulē. Bet es atgādināšu, ka jau vairākus gadus... līdz 2010.gada jūnijam, kad mēs pirmo reizi pieņēmām izmaiņas partiju finansēšanas likumā, ļaujot partijas finansēt arī no valsts budžeta, vienmēr ir bijis jautājums par to, ka Latvijas politiskā sistēma ir sadrumstalota un ka Latvijas politiskā sistēma ir atkarīga no naudas devējiem, šādi dodot iespēju tā saucamajiem sponsoriem gūt ietekmi politiskajā sistēmā. Tātad līdz pat 2010.gada jūlijam, kad Saeima pieņēma izmaiņas partiju finansēšanas likumā, Latvija un Malta bija vienīgās Eiropas Savienības valstis, kurās partijas netika finansētas no valsts budžeta. Tātad šis bija gan Latvijas politologu, gan arī citu politologu ieteikums, lai mazinātu privātās intereses partiju politiskajā sistēmā. Visloģiskākais ir sākt tās finansēt no valsts budžeta. Tā ka tas ir loģisks jautājums un arī jau loģisks piedāvājums. Jau septiņdesmitajos gados papildus veselam lērumam politikas zinātnieku Moriss Diveržē ļoti skaidri nosauca politisko partiju uzdevumus: vēlētāju interešu pārstāvība, biedru socializācija, elites izvirzīšana un bieži vien savu aizmirsto vēlētāju izglītošana. To nevar izdarīt bez naudas! Bet jautājums ir par to, kāda ir šīs naudas izcelsme. Ja mēs to darām samērīgi, tad tas, kā šobrīd tiek piedāvāts... tātad palielināt šo kvotu, kāda tiek dota, attiecīgajām partijām pārvarot 5 procentu barjeru, tajā pašā laikā saglabājot arī to, ka partijas, kas ir sasniegušas vismaz 2, 3 vai 4 procentus... ka arī tām attiecīgi ir nauda. Tā ka šajā situācijā visas Saeimā pārstāvētās partijas ir ieinteresētas šī jautājuma risināšanā, un rezultāti ir atkarīgi no partiju spējām un rezultātiem vēlēšanās. Tā ka šajā situācijā es aicinu kolēģus atbalstīt šos grozījumus Politisko organizāciju (partiju) finansēšanas likumā pirmajā lasījumā, jo galu galā sadrumstalota politiskā vide nav mūsu interesēs un arī atkarība no politisko partiju sponsoriem ne... Tā ka es aicinu atbalstīt.".
