Patiesībā jau domi atlaist būs ļoti, ļoti grūti, un demokrātijai ir jābūt. Tajā pašā laikā nekur nav izslēgts, ka opozīcijā palikušie cilvēki nevar sākt organizēt... Un tad iedomājieties kaut vai visus mūs... ka visu Saeimas sēdes laiku tie, kuri būtu opozīcijā, ārā organizētu mītiņus, nepārtraukti vāktu parakstus un domātu, kā to visu varētu piepildīt! Es domāju, ka šobrīd pats prātīgākais ir šo likumu, kas tik ilgi ir mocījies, šādā kondīcijā, par kuru ir vienojusies komisija, palaist dzīvē un tad skatīties, kā tas strādā. Kas attiecas uz detālplānojumiem, es daudz esmu par tiem jau runājis iepriekšējā reizē. Ja nebūtu visu šo piemēru... ja nebūtu piemēru ar šiem absurdiem, kad neapmierinātie ar iznākumu... kādreiz tā bija Valmierā... pat draudot ar Dievu, sāk staigāt pa dzīvokļiem un vākt parakstus... ja nebūtu tā, ka neapmierinātais uzņēmējs par naudu var sakūdīt veselu rindu līdzcilvēku... Ir lielas, lielas bažas, ka tā mūsu attīstība var uz kādu brīdi drusciņ iesaldēties. Un man šķiet, ka tad bibliotēkas mums nebūtu; man šķiet, ka Rail Baltica mēs varam jau tagad norakstīt; man šķiet, ka ļoti daudzi ražojošie uzņēmumi mīļā miera labad tiks aizsūtīti tālāk prom no konkurentiem, lai viņi te nemaisītos, jo ir atkal daži piemēri, kur kokapstrādes uzņēmumu konkurenti jau sāk vākt parakstus, lai jau laikus kādu iznīcinātu. Tāpēc es domāju, ka mums ir jābūt ārkārtīgi prātīgiem un uzmanīgiem. Man nav nekādu iebildumu pret eksperimentiem, nav iebildumu arī pret to, ka referendumi varētu būt. Bet mums ir trīs punkti, un lai tie sāk dzīvot, un tad skatīsimies, kas notiek, nevis šobrīd atļausim ļoti lielu eksperimentu! Paldies.".
