Diemžēl mani pārsteidza īpatnējais balsojums... tas, kā balsoja cilvēki, kuriem vajadzētu cīnīties par to, ka ir jārealizē Valdības deklarācija, kurā paredzēts samazināt PVN noteiktām pārtikas produktu grupām, tādējādi veicinot veselīga un pilnvērtīga uztura pieejamību. Tā ir frāze Valdības deklarācijas sadaļā par veselību, taču tas tika ar balsu vairākumu noraidīts! Man tiešām izraisīja izbrīnu tas, ka pret tādu lietu kā veselīga pārtika balsoja, piemēram, cīnītājs par sieviešu tiesībām Imants Parādnieks, lai gan arī viņa partijas politikā ir paredzēts šis jautājums. Veselības ministrija virza labojumus Sabiedrības veselības likumā. Šo likumprojektu gatavo iesniegšanai Saeimā, un tas būtu ļoti būtisks – jau ļoti būtisks! – solis virzienā uz mūsu sabiedrības veselīga dzīvesveida pilnveidošanu. Un likās pat nedaudz cinisks VIENOTĪBAS runasvīra Šadurska teiktais, ka badā mirstošam cilvēkam arī hamburgers būs veselīga barība. Man faktiski ir nepieņemama šāda nostādne, bet diemžēl mēs saskaramies ar to, ka deklarācijās un citās pirmsvēlēšanu platformās izteiktajām domām netiek sekots. Tālāk bija divi citi jautājumi. Viens no tiem bija par nolikto atslēgu principu, un virkne mūsu frakcijas deputātu atturējās, jo mēs uzskatām, ka šis jautājums jāskata kontekstā ar jautājumu par ātrajiem kredītiem, jo pasaules zinātnieki... piemēram, Hārvarda universitātes pētījumi ir pierādījuši, ka ātro kredītu pieejamība ir iemesls palielinātai piespiedu... kontu aizvēršanai, ka ātro kredītu pieejamība pati par sevi pasliktina mājsaimniecību finansiālo stāvokli un ka tie ir toksiski sabiedrībai un tautsaimniecībai. Diemžēl mēs skatām to atrauti un neveicinām ātro kredītu iznīdēšanu Latvijā, un rezultātā arī bankām ir savas problēmas. Un trešais bija it kā morālas un ētiskas dabas balsojums – par kažokādām. Jā, tas būtu bijis kažokzvēru audzēšanas nozares iznīcināšanas balsojums! Jo nedrīkst iznīcināt Latvijā normāli attīstošos nozari un iet to pašu ceļu, kādu ir gājušas likvidētās cukurfabrikas, sagrieztie kuģi, iztirgotās bankas un tamlīdzīgi. Ja deputāti šodien būtu pieņēmuši likumu par kažokzvēru audzēšanas aizliegumu Latvijā, tad tā būtu vēl vienas tautsaimniecības nozares iznīcināšana. Tie ir mūsu pamatjautājumi, kas mani šodien satrauca kā deputātu jeb tautas pārstāvi Saeimā un kā cilvēku.".
