Un pilnībā atbalstām un redzam pozitīvu virzību pamazām uz to, ka šis jautājums varētu būt arī pozitīvi... būt atbalstīts. Vienīgais, kas mūs nedaudz satrauc, – ka šādu, tik svarīgu, jautājumu mēs nekādi nevaram izlemt vienas sēdes laikā, bet kaut kādu iekšējo intrigu rezultātā pozīcijas partijas savā starpā konkurē jau tagad: kurš būs pirmais, kurš to atbalstīs, kurš – ne. Nelemj pēc būtības, bet, teiksim, spēlē kaut kādas taktiskas spēles. Otrs būtisks jautājums šodien, protams, bija šis ebreju īpašumu restitūcijas jautājums. Jautājumi, mūsuprāt, bija sekojoši. Šodien bija vēlme no Ministru kabineta puses iedot atsevišķas pilnvaras speciāli ostas policijai vai ostu policijām, ja tādas tiktu izveidotas. Ir daudz jautājumu par to, ar ko nodarbojas Drošības policija un kāpēc šāds birojs ir vajadzīgs. Vai tā arī ir kārtējā spēka izrādīšana savā starpā. Tāpēc, kamēr nebūs atbildēti visi šie jautājumi, mēs nevarēsim atbalstīt šo jautājumu tālāku virzīšanu. Par Vectirāna kungu šodien. Un tāpēc arī Latvijas Reģionu apvienība šobrīd organizēs tikšanās kopā ar ietekmīgām valsts amatpersonām, tādām kā Valsts kontroles vadītāja, kā Valsts ieņēmumu dienesta... Mēs sauksim pie sevis arī ekonomikas ministri, jo tas, kas šobrīd, pēdējā laikā, notiek ar EXPO, ar tūrismu, nespēja sakārtot Latvijas dārzeņaudzētāju iespējas konkurēt vietējā tirgū, – tas rada bažas par to, ka nav viss kārtībā šobrīd Ekonomikas ministrijā.
