Tiešām visu cieņu Vectirāna kungam, kurš tieši no Saeimas tribīnes aicināja deputātus pieņemt šo lēmumu par viņa izdošanu, attiecīgi vērtējot viņa administratīvo atbildību! Taču bez šī jautājuma Saeima skatīja vēl vairākus būtiskus darba kārtības jautājumus. Kā pirmo es vēlētos minēt Nacionālās apvienības deputātu sagatavoto likumprojektu “Grozījums Latvijas Republikas Satversmē”. Mēs aicinājām šodien šo jautājumu iekļaut darba kārtībā. Jānorāda, ka mūsu iniciatīva ir vērsta uz to, lai turpmāk Valsts prezidentu ievēlē deputāti, atklāti balsojot. Mēs zinām, ka Valsts prezidents ir faktiski vienīgā augstā amatpersona, kuras ievēlēšana joprojām, saskaņā ar Satversmi, notiek aizklātā procedūrā. Jānorāda, ka šis likumprojekts, mūsuprāt, ir būtisks arī tā iemesla dēļ, ka tuvojas Valsts prezidenta vēlēšanas un, mūsuprāt, vēlētājiem tas būtu ļoti būtiski – zināt, kā deputāti balso, kādu izvēli viņi izdara. Droši vien prasa arī pamatojumu... Mēs ļoti ceram, ka, neraugoties uz to, ka šodien vairākums neatbalstīja šī likumprojekta iekļaušanu darba kārtībā, nākamajā sēdē šis likumprojekts saskaņā ar Saeimas kārtības rulli būs Saeimas darba kārtībā, un mēs ļoti ceram, ka šis likumprojekts tiks nodots arī izskatīšanai komisijā. Vēlētos arī norādīt uz to, ka Saeimas sēdē bija diskusijas par jau minētajiem likumprojektiem, kas paredz nekustamā īpašuma nodošanu Latvijas Ebreju draudžu un kopienu padomei. Nacionālā apvienība vakar šo jautājumu frakcijā pārrunāja, un mūsu viedoklis ir, ka denacionalizācijas process Latvijā ir beidzies. Un arī šodien lielākā daļa Nacionālās apvienības frakcijas deputātu balsoja “pret” šo likumprojektu nodošanu komisijām. Atsevišķiem deputātiem bija viedoklis par to, ka būtu iespējams diskutēt par dažu īpašumu nodošanu, un tāda kārtība Saeimā ir bijusi... ka, varbūt šajā gadījumā nevērtējot, vai tas būtu kādai konkrētai kopienai... Bet mēs runājam vairāk par sabiedriskajām organizācijām un celtnēm, kuras varētu nodot varbūt konkrētai sabiedriskajai organizācijai ar konkrētu mērķi. Atsevišķi deputāti arī atsevišķus likumprojektus atbalstīja, tomēr vēlētos norādīt, ka Nacionālās apvienības pozīcija šajā jautājumā kopumā nav mainījusies. Un šeit, protams, mēs arī zinām, ka no sabiedrības daļas... puses ir bijuši viedokļi, kā tad rīkoties situācijās, ja tālāk šie likumprojekti tiks atbalstīti, un ko, piemēram, darīt tiem, kuriem šī vēsturiskā netaisnība ir nodarīta un vēsturiskais taisnīgums joprojām nav atjaunots. Nu, droši vien tad arī Saeimā par to būs jādiskutē un jāmeklē risinājumi, lai atjaunotu vēsturisko taisnīgumu ne tikai varbūt, kā šajā gadījumā, vienai kopienai, bet jau skatītu šo jautājumu daudz plašāk.
