Es nebūtu kāpis šajā tribīnē, ja vakar nebūtu uzklausījis deputātu viedokļus diskusijā Latvijas televīzijā. Tā man lika nopietni padomāt. Izrādās, mēs šodien balsosim nevis par jautājuma virzīšanu tālākai izskatīšanai, bet gan jau faktiski pieņemsim lēmumu par īpašumu atdošanu. Jo, ja jau tādi likumprojekti tiekot virzīti, tad to virzītājiem jau esot skaidrs, kāds būs galīgais lēmums... Izrādās, šāds lēmums esot jāpieņem tāpēc, ka dažiem ir, bet citiem nav ietekmīgu draugu. Tāpēc, ka visas Latvijā dzīvojošās tautas ir vienlīdzīgas, bet dažas ir vienlīdzīgākas par citām. Tas man nav pieņemami. Brīžiem rodas iespaids, ka ir spēki, kas cenšas sanaidot Latvijā dzīvojošos cilvēkus pēc etniskā principa, pēc seksuālās orientācijas un tamlīdzīgi, nostādot kādas grupas cilvēkus augstāk par citiem. Latvijā ebreji devuši lielu ieguldījumu dažādās dzīves jomās. Lai atceramies Mihailu Tālu, Mavriku Vulfsonu, Rutu Marjašu! Un tā varētu ilgi turpināt. Un Latvijas sabiedrība viņu ieguldījumu ir augstu novērtējusi. Vēl šodien atceros, kā tad, kad biju mazs zēns, mana māte un pārējās ar mums kopā esošās sievietes toreizējā Spilves lidostā dedzīgi metās aizstāvēt jaunu ebreju puisi, ko apvainoja kāds iereibis pilsonis. Es tagad runāju savā vārdā. Vēlos precizēt: attiecībā uz darba kārtības 6.-11.jautājumu es jau balsoju “par” un balsošu “par”, taču - nevis par likumprojektos minēto objektu atdošanu, bet gan par jautājuma virzīšanu tālākai izskatīšanai; neizslēdzu, ka tās rezultātā mans balsojums attiecībā uz to vai citu objektu atdošanu jeb restitūciju varētu būt “pret”.
