Vai šis lielais kolonistu skaits Latvijā, kuri neatzīst ne latviešu valodu, ne Latvijas likumus un cer, ka kaut kādā veidā Latvija atgriezīsies impērijas sastāvā, - vai tas arī nav viens no iemesliem, kāpēc mums ir mazāki sasniegumi nekā Igaunijai un Lietuvai? Tātad mēs uzvedamies, tā teikt, pa labam un politkorekti. Tad, kad pamatoti tiek uzdots jautājums - arī vakar, tiekoties ar ārlietu ministru -, kāpēc Latvija neparakstīja Lietuvas, Igaunijas, Dānijas un Lielbritānijas aicinājumu pretdarboties Krievijas propagandai, jo mēs esam visvairāk cietuši un šeit ir vislielākā masa ietekmējamo cilvēku, tad mēs saņemam atbildi, ka mums jau savs viedoklis nav jāpauž, ka mēs esam tikai koordinētāji un ka savā latviskajā viltībā paklusām mēs izdarīsim daudz vairāk. Ko mēs varam izdarīt, to mēs labi varējām redzēt svētdienas raidījumā, ko mums ar Lattelecom gādību retranslē... retranslē Lattelecom NEPLP uzraudzībā. Un te nu sākas atkal kārtējā mūsu laipošana. Tātad Mogerīni kundzes priekšlikums bija sadalīt sankcijas - ka ārkārtīgi stingras sankcijas mēs pielietosim, kamēr turpināsies Austrumukrainas okupācija un Krimas okupācija kā tāda, tās mēs atdalīsim otrajā kārtā. Un zināt, kādas tur būs šausmas? Tur nevarēs tūrisma kruīza kuģi iebraukt un no Krimas vairs Eiropas Savienība nevarēs eksportēt laikam vīnu Isabella, un kas nu tur tik vēl nebūs... Vai tiešām kāds Latvijā tic, ka augstā komisāre Mogerīni izrādīs kaut kādu principialitāti, ja viņas diplomātiskais stāžs ārlietās bija kādi 6 mēneši Itālijā, kad viņa tika iecelta par komisāri, lai būtu kaut kāds pretsvars, teiksim, stingram, stingram politiķim Tuskam? Arī Mariupoles virzienā notiek uzbrukums, un ir krituši vairāk nekā 1200 cilvēku. Kas tad ir šī Minskas vienošanās, par ko tur runāja? Ukrainas valdības loceklis, iekšlietu ministrs Arsēns Avakovs raksta: “Minskas vienošanās ir nekas vairāk kā meli, kur Krievijas interesēs tiek iesaldēta teritorija, līdzīga Dienvidosetijai un Piedņestrai, uz daudziem gadiem.” Tātad Latvijai kā mazai valstij arī būtu jāizliekas, ka Minskas vienošanās ir ļoti laba un ka tur nekaro Krievija tiešā veidā, jo tur nav nosaukta Krievija kā agresors? Tur karo kaut kādi separātisti? Bet jūs redzat katru dienu, ka Austrumukraina tiek apšaudīta ar smagajiem ieročiem, tūkstošiem lādiņu tiek izlietoti. Un iznāk tā, ka mums ir jātic, ka šos smagos ieročus, lādiņus pa nakti tur atjauno, teiksim, vienkāršie iedzīvotāji, ogļrači vai pensionāri. Nu, skaidrs, ka šie sanitārie konvoji visu laiku pieved bruņojumu un ka tā ir tīra Krievijas agresija kā tāda. Es domāju, ka mūsu prezidentūrai... un es piekrītu arī tiem žurnālistiem, kas raksta, ka mēs esam maza valsts un mēs paši esam cietuši no šīs okupācijas, un galvenais mums būtu izvairīties no liekulības. Arī mūsu ārpolitikas koncepcijā ministra kungs ir ierakstījis par kopējām Eiropas vērtībām. Eiropas vērtības nevarētu būt divkosība, izlikšanās, melošana. Mums jebkurā gadījumā vajadzētu no tā izvairīties un pateikt skaidri un gaiši. Starp citu, trešā deklarācija, ko ir pieņēmusi Saeima, ir par latviešu leģionāriem Otrajā pasaules karā. Mēs atkal izvairāmies, jo šajā deklarācijā ir ierakstīts, ka mums ir jāaizstāv latviešu leģionāru gods un cieņa, jānovērš leģionāru goda un cieņas aizskārums gan Latvijā, gan ārvalstīs. Kādā veidā mūsu Ārlietu ministrija, tiekoties ar Lavrovu, kurš kārtējo reizi pārmet fašisma atdzimšanu... kādā veidā tad mēs aizstāvam šo latviešu leģionāru godu un cieņu? Un mēs redzam, ka Ukraina aizstāv faktiski visu Eiropu šādā veidā. Un kas tad Latvijā vēl bez leģionāriem aizstāvējās pret šīm ordām, kuras te iebruka, laupīja, slepkavoja un izsūtīja cilvēkus? Tātad leģionāru kaujas gan Morē, gan Kurzemē ļāva izglābties ļoti daudziem latviešiem, jo uz vairākām nedēļām aizkavēja Sarkanarmijas iebrukumu Rīgā, - ļāva izglābties simtiem tūkstošu latviešu, kuri noteikti būtu iznīcināti vai aizietu bojā nometnēs. Un kāda ir mūsu pateicība šiem leģionāriem? Mēs atļaujamies aizrādīt, ka, saprotiet, 16.martā nedrīkst iet pie Brīvības pieminekļa! Vai tā nav liekulība un divkosība prezidējošai valstij?! Un pēdējais - vēl par morālām vērtībām. Mēs, protams, iestājamies par vārda un preses brīvību. 2001.gadā no darba tika atlaists žurnāla “Kapitāls” redaktors Rozenbergs par vienu karikatūru, pret kuru it kā protestēja, un likteņa ironijas dēļ arī Francijas vēstniecība esot bijusi protestētāju skaitā! Tātad mums arī morāle var būt dažāda. No vienas puses, mēs tā kā esam par vārda brīvību, bet, no otras puses, visu laiku pastiprinās aicinājumi ieviest Krimināllikumā jaunus pantus par dažādiem izteikumiem. Vai nu mums ir šī vārda brīvība, vai nav mums šīs vārda brīvības... Lai neiznāk tāpat kā minētajam franču žurnālam, ka karikatūrists, kurš bija uzzīmējis Sarkozī dēlu, izlidoja no darba nekavējoties - par to, ka bija atļāvies uzzīmēt vienu karikatūru! Es ceru, ka mums laika ir pietiekami un ka mūsu Ārlietu ministrija tomēr, kā jau es teicu, kā jau mazas valsts pārstāvji cīnīsies pret šo liekulību un divkosību, un ka zināmā mērā tiešām šīs Eiropas vērtības tiks saglabātas.
