Bet mūsu frakcijas viedoklis nebūs, kā teica partiju VIENOTĪBA pārstāvošā Solvita Āboltiņas kundze, kritizējošs. Mūsu viedoklis būs tieši atbalstošs un ierosinošs. Tāpēc mūsu galvenais vadmotīvs šinī brīdī būs atbalstīt tās domas, kas bija... ir minētas šinī ziņojumā un ir ļoti labas. Un arī ierosināsim, ko, mūsuprāt, vajadzētu uzlabot. Es gribētu vērst uzmanību uz to, ka šis ziņojums ir par paveikto un iecerēto sadarbību... darbību valsts ārpolitikā. Sāksim ar to, kas paveikts. Diemžēl diezgan maz, un tāpēc mēs ierosinām turpmāk šajos ziņojumos atskaitīties arī par to, kādu konkrētu ekonomisko labumu Latvijas valsts iedzīvotājiem ir nesusi Latvijas valsts ārpolitika konkrētajā gadā. Āboltiņas kundze šeit jau minēja konkrēti par pienu uz Ķīnu. Mēs labprāt dzirdētu 2014.gadā noslēgto līgumu vismaz īsu raksturojumu, kādi tie ir bijuši un ko tie ir nesuši valsts ekonomikai. Protams, mēs saprotam, ka mūsu līdzdalība drošības jautājumos starptautiskajās institūcijās ir aktīva un bez tās neiztikt. Un tur mēs vairāk vai mazāk tomēr neesam, tā teikt, dienaskārtības noteicēji. Un tāpēc mēs varbūt ierosinātu nākotnē šādos ziņojumos nelikt tik ambiciozus apgalvojumus kā “prezidentūra Eiropas Savienības Padomē ļaus Latvijai veidot Eiropas Savienības darba kārtību, kā arī ietekmēt Eiropas Savienības politikas virzību atbilstoši Latvijas ekonomiskās izaugsmes mērķiem”. Protams, mēs to vēlētos, bet vai mēs to šobrīd varam? Tas ir liels jautājums. Es atbalstu... tiešām jāsaka atzinības vārdi par ārpolitiku diasporas jautājumos. Izdevās pašam par to pārliecināties. Un tas, kas saistīts ar darbu ar mūsu diasporas pārstāvjiem, sevišķi jau lielās kapitālistiskās valstīs, ir atbalstošs, bet tas vairāk attiecas uz tiem diasporas pārstāvjiem, kuri pametuši Latviju pēc 1940.gada. Kāda ir politika attiecībā uz tiem, kas pametuši Latviju deviņdesmitajos gados un pamet katru dienu un katru gadu? Mums gribētos redzēt... mēs ierosinām arī šajā ārpolitikas jautājumā vairāk konkrētības un plānu. Nākošais no jautājumiem, ko mēs pamanījām, ir pozitīva... ir stratēģija attiecībā uz sadarbību ar Baltkrieviju. Tur tiešām var just, ka valstij ir darbības plāns un viņa pēc tā iet. Labs vai slikts, bet tur tomēr ir plāns. Izlasot par to, ka mums ir arī vēlme sadarboties ar Centrālāziju, Japānu, Ķīnu, Brazīliju, Āfrikas, Latīņamerikas un Karību jūras valstīm, mēs to visu saprotam. Bet kur ir konkrētība? Mūsu ierosinājums: varbūt vajadzētu šobrīd arī konkrētu sadarbības plānu ar Baltijas valstīm, tajā skaitā ar Lietuvu, kur šobrīd ir jautājums, kā risināsies konflikti saistībā ar Lietuvas tiesvedību pret Latviju par airBaltic un lidostu “Rīga”? Mēs gribētu zināt, kāds ir ārpolitikas plāns šajos jautājumos. Nākošais, kas attiecas uz sadarbību un diplomātiju, ko jau minēja Kalniņa kungs. Tiešām tas būtu tas, ko Latvijas Reģionu apvienība vēlētos redzēt gan mūsu iekšpolitikā, gan ārpolitikā. Un, manuprāt, ir diezgan jocīgi klausīties, kā runā vienas varas partijas divi pārstāvji: viens runā, ka ziņojums ir plašs, izsmeļošs un labākais, kāds dzirdēts, bet otrs saka... nokritizē to un saka, ka tas ir vājš. Es aicinātu tomēr varas partijas vienoties par kopējo valsts ārpolitiku, jo nevar būt tā, ka pārstāvis, kas pārstāv visu valsti, respektīvi, mūsu klātesošā spīkeres kundze, Saeimas priekšsēdētāja, atsakās tikties ar kādas valsts vēstnieku tāpēc, ka viņas partijai ir šāda politika. Tā ir diplomātija, un es aicinātu arī šo ieviest kā ārpolitikas savstarpējās vienošanās metodi. Un es gribētu redzēt, ka Valsts prezidents, ārlietu ministrs un Saeimas priekšsēdētāja runā vienu un arī darbojas pēc viena vienota plāna. Un visbeidzot. Lai nebūtu tā, ka mēs visu laiku tikai kaut ko sakām, kas ir slikti vai labi, tad es teikšu tā: Latvija ir tik skaista vieta, par kuru var priecāties, un mēs to arī darām, bet Latvija šobrīd ir neaizsargāta. Un jūs, Rinkēviča kungs, šobrīd esat viens no galvenajiem tās aizsargātājiem, kuram mūsu intereses ir jāvirza ārpolitikā. Es tāpēc aicinātu ne tikai par lielu naudu iegādāties pārstāvniecības ēkas, pieņemsim, Ženēvā, kā tas bija pagājušogad, bet arī dot reālu ieguldījumu Latvijas ekonomikā un nostiprināt robežas nevis ar vārdiem... jo tā arī netika skaidrs, vai tā robežas nostiprināšana notiks ar ekonomisko attīstību pierobežas teritorijās, sadarbojoties ar ASV un Eiropas Savienības valstīm, vai tā notiks, būvējot Ķīnas mūri. Es tiešām aicinātu jūs nākošreiz šinī ziņojumā ieviest vairāk konkrētības, lai tur ir mazāk birokrātisku vārdu. Paldies jums par uzmanību. (Aplausi.)".
