Šie izaicinājumi mūsu iekšējai un ārējai drošībai, kā arī mūsu ekonomiskajai un sociālajai drošībai ir savstarpēji saistīti. Mūsuprāt, atslēgvārds gan ārlietu ministra ziņojumā, gan arī mūsu ārpolitikas stratēģijā ir “sadarbība”. Lai risinātu šīs problēmas gan ekonomiski, gan no drošības viedokļa, mums ir jāsadarbojas ar mūsu sabiedrotajiem NATO un Eiropas Savienībā, ar mūsu Ziemeļu kaimiņiem. Vienlaikus mums ir ļoti svarīga sadarbība ar Amerikas Savienotajām Valstīm un Kanādu ne tikai drošības jautājumos, bet arī sakarā ar tirdzniecības un investīciju līgumiem, kas top. Ar Kanādu ir jau parakstīts. Nākamajos divos gados tagad turpinās lemt par Eiropas Savienības un ASV tirdzniecības līgumu. Mēs uzskatām, ka tas ir ne tikai ekonomiski svarīgi Latvijai, bet arī ģeopolitiski svarīgi Eiropai un Amerikai. 2015.gadā Latvija ir ļoti labi pozicionēta, lai virzītu mūsu nacionālās intereses caur Eiropas Savienības prezidentūru. Un tas daļēji ir tāpēc, ka mūsu prioritārie darba virzieni Eiropas Savienības prezidentūrā ir saskaņoti ar mūsu nacionālajām interesēm drošībā, ekonomikā un labklājībā. Un šīs prioritātes ir Eiropas Savienības konkurētspēja, digitālā darba kārtība un Eiropas Savienības globālā loma. Un viens piemērs, ka Latvija ir ieņēmusi vadošo lomu, lai cīnītos pret Krievijas un arī teroristu grupu īstenoto informatīvo karu, ir Latvijas dibinātais Stratēģiskās komunikācijas izcilības centrs, kas ir gan NATO aģentūra, bet vienlaikus varētu arī kļūt par Eiropas Savienības sadarbības partneri. Un beidzot. Vairāki frakcijas VIENOTĪBA deputāti uzsvēra parlamentāro lomu ārpolitikas veidošanā un atbalstīšanā. Mums ir deputāti, kas piedalās starptautiskajās organizācijās, parlamentārajās asamblejās, un mums tas ir jāizmanto, lai atbalstītu, lai mums būtu vienota un konsekventa ārpolitika.
