Mēs frakcijas vārdā uzstājāmies, bet kā galveno es gribētu šeit atzīmēt, ka attiecībā uz ārpolitiku mūsu frakcija ļoti izcēla ekonomisko interešu nozīmīgumu. Mēs pozitīvi novērtējām Ārlietu ministrijas sagatavoto ziņojumu un to, ka ir plānots sniegt uzņēmējiem atbalstu jaunu tirgu apguvē, liekot uzsvaru uz eksporta tirgu diversifikāciju. Bet mūsu ārpolitikā ekonomiskajām interesēm ir jābūt prioritātei, lai nodrošinātu mūsu uzņēmumu attīstību, darba vietas un pienācīgu atalgojumu iedzīvotājiem. Un ļoti būtiski, ka mūsu uzņēmēji ir ieinteresēti īpašos nosacījumos, lai veicinātu gan pakalpojumu, gan preču kustību ārpus Eiropas Savienības. Mums ir seni sadarbības partneri – tuvākās Baltijas valstis, Eiropas valstis, ASV, Kanāda –, bet mums ļoti nozīmīgi ir meklēt jaunus tirgus Austrumos (Austrumu partnerības ietvaros), Centrālāzijas valstīs, Tuvajos Austrumos un Ķīnā. Tie tiešām ir tirgi, kuros mēs varam rast produkcijas noietu ārpus Eiropas Savienības valstīm, kā to jau pierādījusi atsevišķu uzņēmumu sadarbība ar Ķīnu: tur jau ir tik tālu, ka noslēgti līgumi par konkrētu preču piegādi. Attiecībā uz citām aktuālām lietām es gribētu uzsvērt grozījumus Veterinārmedicīnas likumā, kuri palīdzēs mums ierobežot bīstamo slimību – Āfrikas cūku mēri. Pašlaik ražotājiem šī slimība rada gan apgrūtinājumu, gan reālus zaudējumus, jo Āfrikas cūku mēris ir izplatījies gan Latgalē, gan Vidzemē, un šī izplatīšanās pagājušā gada laikā no jūnija līdz pat rudenim progresēja. Tagad izplatīšanās nenotiek un mēs gatavojamies jaunajai sezonai – pavasarim – , kad varētu atkal būt problēmas. Tādēļ ļoti būtiski, lai Pārtikas un veterinārā dienesta inspektori varētu darīt savu darbu – pārbaudīt, vai netiek turēti nereģistrēti dzīvnieki, un ierobežot šīs slimības izplatību, lai neradītu zaudējumus mūsu ražotājiem, mūsu ekonomikai un nodrošinātu arī drošu un nekaitīgu pārtiku mūsu iedzīvotājiem.
