Sākšu ar to, ka šodien bija trīs likumprojektu ierosinājumi no Latvijas Reģionu apvienības puses, kuri visi diemžēl tika noraidīti. Mēs neko vairāk neierosinājām, kā tikai atklāt diskusijas, nosūtot šos ierosinājumus uz komisijām. Un tādā veidā jautājums par to, lai tautas nobalsošanai saglabātu esošo kārtību ( ir runa par 30 000 parakstiem) netika novirzīts, lai to izdiskutētu komisijās un tad Saeimā pieņemtu lēmumu galīgajā lasījumā, nedz arī jautājums par to, lai Saeimā balsojums par Valsts prezidentu notiktu atklāti un lai “par” nobalsotu vismaz 51 Saeimas deputāts, nedz arī mūsu konkrētā prasība iekļaut normu, ka Valsts prezidenta kandidātam vajag būt ar augstāko izglītību un augstākās kategorijas jeb pirmās kategorijas pielaidi valsts noslēpumiem. Tas ir sevišķi būtiski, jo, mūsuprāt, šobrīd mēs ierosinājām diskusiju, nevis uzreiz galalēmumus. Un VIENOTĪBAS deputāta Šadurska aizrādījums, ka šī augstākā izglītība neesot augstākā izglītība, bet ka tā esot pielīdzināma koledžas vai tehnikuma izglītībai... Mūsuprāt, arī tas norāda, ka mēs šeit bieži vien lemjam nevis par būtisko, bet sākam pieķerties kaut kādiem formulējumiem. Un... Nu, tā ir katra deputāta politiskā atbildība. Mūsuprāt, tas nav pieņemami. Mēs tomēr uzskatām, ka šie jautājumi bija jānosūta tālāk. Tāpat kā par šo pielaidi augstākās kategorijas valsts noslēpumiem... Šobrīd tika no tribīnes oficiāli pateikts, ka šobrīd kā kandidāts uz Valsts prezidenta amatu var būt tikai cilvēks, kurš ir strādājis vai strādā valsts pārvaldē un kuram jau eksistē šāda veida pielaide. Tas, mūsuprāt, nozīmē ļoti lielus ierobežojumus kandidātiem un no tautas izvirzīts kandidāts nemaz nevar kļūt par Valsts prezidentu. Tas ir pilnībā nepieņemami. Jebkurā gadījumā arī šī Nacionālās apvienības kolēģa... runājot par to, ka viņš prasa plašāku diskusiju par šāda veida jautājumiem... Tas neiet kopā ar balsojumu... jo diskusijas būtu notikušas komisijās, kur to visu varētu izskatīt, bet mēs nemaz līdz diskusijām nenonācām. Tāpat arī bija minēts, ka vajagot dažām partijām noskaidrot savu vēlētāju attieksmi pret šo institūciju un pret ievēlēšanas kārtību. Jāteic, ka Latvijas Reģionu apvienība, jau ejot uz vēlēšanām, noskaidroja savu vēlētāju attieksmi pret šo jautājumu. Latvijas Reģionu apvienības vēlētāji viennozīmīgi saka, ka viņi vēlas tautas vēlētu Valsts prezidentu un ka viņi atbalsta atklātu balsošanu Saeimā. Vēl. Šodien mēs arī atbalstījām robežsargu apmācību Rēzeknes Augstskolā. Mūsuprāt, tā ir ļoti laba lieta. Mēs atbalstījām arī vēl citas pragmatiskas lietas, kas šodien tika steidzamības kārtā virzītas, lai gan jāsaka godīgi, ka ir gadījumi... šoreiz laikam tomēr ir ierēdniecības vaina, ka mums jautājumi, kas tika pieņemti steidzamības kārtā... nebija vis konkursa apstrīdēšanas gadījumā, bet tāpēc, ka... ierēdņu nolaidības dēļ. Bet mēs saprotam, ka ir jādara, lai, tā teikt, lietas kustētos uz priekšu... Un visbeidzot. Šeit jau pieminētais mikrouzņēmumu nodoklis tika izskatīts vakardien Tautsaimniecības, agrārās, vides un reģionālās politikas komisijā. Un jāsaka godīgi, ka Latvijas Reģionu apvienība vienmēr iestājusies par to, ka 9 procenti ir noteiktais līmenis... iemaksu līmenis. Šobrīd gan izskatās, ka pārējās politiskās partijas ir nobijušās no tām sekām, kas varētu būt, jo rezultāts ir acīm redzams. Ieņēmumi no mikrouzņēmumu nodokļa maksājumiem pieaug, nodarbināto skaits pieaug. Un arī bezdarbnieki... Tādu, kuri ir iekļāvušies šinī darbā, oficiālajā darbā, skaits ir milzīgs – vairāki desmiti tūkstošu... Tāpēc šībrīža mūsu piedāvājums – nedot Finanšu ministrijai tiesības lemt par šiem jautājumiem... Budžeta un finanšu (nodokļu) komisijai... Tas bija pamatots tieši ar to, ka Finanšu ministrija ļoti atklāti lobē mikrouzņēmumu nodokļa palielināšanu, pēc būtības lielu bezdarba palielināšanos un cilvēku aizbraukšanu uz ārzemēm. Tāpēc mēs piekritām... ierosinājām to tomēr skatīt Tautsaimniecības, agrārās, vides un reģionālās politikas komisijā, kura vairāk rūpējas par stratēģiju, pēc kādas valstij attīstīties. Kopumā ņemot, šī bija pragmatiska diena, un es aicinu visus ieklausīties tajā būtiskajā, nevis pieķerties komatam. Paldies jums!".
