Bieži vien esam dzirdējuši arī ģenerālprokurora izteikumus par to, cik grūti ir aizpildīt vakances, pieņemsim, Ģenerālprokuratūrā, ja uz konkursu, uz amatu, kurā ir pietiekami konkurētspējīgs atalgojums, atnāk pietiekami liels skaits cilvēku, bet izrādās, ka ļoti liela daļa no viņiem nespēj izpildīt šo vienkāršo testu, kas bieži vien ir līdzīgs tādiem testiem, kādus pilda nākamie juristi, iestājoties attiecīgajā augstskolā. Un līdz ar to jau ilgstoši ir šī publiskā diskusija par to, ka valstij, kura garantē cilvēkam diplomu, būtu jāuzņemas arī atbildība par to, ka cilvēks ir konkurētspējīgs, pabeidzot augstskolu. Tātad šo diskusiju rezultātā ir gan Saeimas Juridiskajā komisijā, gan Tiesu politikas apakškomisijā... Diskusija ir bijusi arī izdevumā “Jurista Vārds”, par to ir diskutējuši arī augstskolu pārstāvji. Tagad beidzot ir pieņemts lēmums, ka juristi būs pirmie, kas varēs kārtot šādu vienotu eksāmenu, un tiek veikts grozījums Augstskolu likumā, un šī norma būs atvērta. Tātad, ja kādā citā profesijā būs nepieciešamība ieviest šādu vienotu eksāmenu, šis grozījums ļaus to ieviest arī citās profesijās. Tātad par šo grozījumu, kā jau es teicu, ir diskutēts ilgstoši, un to ir atbalstījusi gan Izglītības un zinātnes ministrija, gan Tieslietu ministrija, to ir atbalstījušas arī studentu apvienības, augstskolu pārstāvji, prokuratūras pārstāvji, un tātad tas ir sagatavots, un, kā redzat, tam ir arī politisks atbalsts.
