Tiek prognozēts, ka dienesta uzdevumu izpildē ilgāk par 30 dienām galvenokārt iesaistīsies studenti vasaras brīvlaikā, atvaļinātie karavīri, kas iestājušies Zemessardzē, zemnieku saimniecību īpašnieki un bezdarbnieki. Paredzēts izmaksāt arī kompensāciju par minētajām militāro mācību vai vingrinājumu dienām, bet papildu līdzekļi no valsts budžeta nav nepieciešami. Likuma grozījumu izpildi Nacionālie bruņotie spēki nodrošinās tiem piešķirto budžeta līdzekļu ietvaros, jo zemessargu iesaiste apmācībās notiek plānveidā un saskaņā ar piešķirto finansējumu atbilstoši gada pasākumu plānam. Tiek plānots, ka dienesta uzdevumu izpildē ilgāk par 30 dienām iesaistīs apmēram 820 zemessargu. Būtiski ir tas, ka mācības netiek plānotas nepārtrauktā 90 dienu ilgā posmā, bet tās noritēs vidēji nedēļu garā laika posmā.
