Nacionālā apvienība iestājas pret termiņuzturēšanās atļauju tirgošanu apmaiņā pret nekustamo īpašumu, un tāpēc mēs balsojām pret grozījumiem Imigrācijas likumā. Vairums no tiem, kas šīs programmas ietvaros ierodas Latvijā un uzpērk te nekustamos īpašumus, nāk no Krievijas. Jau tagad Latvijā ir vairāk nekā 50 tūkstošu Krievijas pilsoņu. Šodienas ģeopolitiskajā situācijā vēl palielināt Krievijas pilsoņu skaitu Latvijā - tas ir pretrunā ar Latvijas nacionālajām interesēm. Drošības policija ir skaidri norādījusi, ka termiņuzturēšanās atļauju tirgošana Krievijas un NVS pilsoņiem rada draudus mūsu valsts drošībai. Šādus draudus, mūsuprāt, rada arī krievu valodas vides paplašināšana Latvijā, ko termiņuzturēšanās atļauju tirgošana nepārprotami veicina. Atļauju pircēji bieži vien pat neslēpj, ka Latviju izvēlas tikai tāpēc, ka bērniem izglītība te ir krieviski, krieviskā vide šeit ir pašpietiekama un vietējo valodu apgūt nav nepieciešamības. Imigrācijas likuma grozījumi šo situāciju tikai pasliktina, jo likums tagad paredz iespēju ļaut Latvijas iestādēs iesniegt pieteikumus arī krieviski. Nacionālā apvienība tam nepiekrīt. Uzskatām, ka tiek pārspīlēti valsts ekonomiskie ieguvumi no termiņuzturēšanās atļauju programmas. Netiek ņemts vērā, ka šādā veidā tiek kropļots nekustamo īpašumu tirgus un zaudētāji ir vietējie iedzīvotāji, kas savu mājokli bieži vairs nevar atļauties. Uzskatām, ka termiņuzturēšanās atļauju tirgošana apmaiņā pret nekustamā īpašuma iegādi nodara kopumā valstij vairāk ļauna nekā laba, tāpēc piekrītam Drošības policijas secinājumiem, ka ilgtermiņā šī prakse atstās negatīvu ietekmi uz sabiedrības attīstību, uzņēmējdarbības vidi un, protams, jau minēto valsts drošību. Mūsuprāt, valstiski atbildīgi būtu šo praksi pēc iespējas ātrāk izbeigt. Paldies.".
